Well this is definitely a quieter Monday compared to this time last week.

We can’t thank our amazing friends and supplier enough for the hospitality, you guys definitely know how to party (and we thought we did) Safe to say, we seriously need to up our game 🙈.

I mean come on who wouldn’t be this excited getting to see live?! What a set it was, genuinely one of the best DJ sets we’ve ever seen 🔥🎧 🎶.

What a night. What a party. And apparently, what a raver Phil is 🤣🙈.

A huge thank you to our friends at Underscar W**ery in Keswick for the most amazing morning grape picking 🍇.

W**e has always been a real passion of ours at the Captain Nelson. We love discovering great wines, learning the stories behind them and most importantly, being able to share those discoveries with our wonderful customers. Having the opportunity to actually get involved in a harvest right here in Cumbria was pretty special.

We still can’t quite believe that grapes are being grown in Cumbria (and successfully too)!! What they’re creating at Underscar is genuinely incredible.

There’s something about being told ‘you can’t grow grapes in Cumbria’ that seems to create even more determination to prove that actually, you absolutely can. That really resonates with us at the Captain Nelson. We’ve always believed in doing things a little differently, pushing boundaries and bringing things to Maryport that perhaps people wouldn’t necessarily expect to find in a pub here.

Spending the morning with people who share that same passion and determination was inspiring.

Thank you for letting the Captain Nelson be a tiny part of this year’s harvest, we absolutely loved it!!

And this might not be the end of the Captain Nelson × Underscar story either…

He’s a cool dude and he’s back at the Captain Nelson this Oktoberfest Friday at 8pm!! Scott Pearson brings his Indie bangers to the dance floor 💃🏻🕺🏻. We definitely can’t wait for this one 🎸🎤🎶.

The powerhouse that is the sensational Jenny Ball is returning to the Captain Nelson to entertain you all at 6pm this Saturday !! Dancing shoes and glow sticks 😉 at the ready 🎤🎶.

It’s back!! Oktoberfest is coming to the Captain Nelson this weekend 🍻🇩🇪.

Dust off your Lederhosen’s (free pint for the best dressed) and join us 25th & 26th September as we bring a little taste of Bavaria to Maryport!

We’ll have German beers (Pilsner and Helles), a new l***r on draught pouring for a limited time 🤫, 2-pint steins, live music Friday and Saturday and all the Oktoberfest atmosphere you’d expect.

It’s all going on here this weekend at Maryport’s premier live music venue the Captain Nelson!! The draught, cask, wines, spirits and mixers as always are outstanding, the atmosphere is electric and the vibes are good. What more could you want 😏. Prost 🍻!!

Who’s looking forward to another fabulous weekend at the Captain Nelson 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️!!

Friday 18th sees the return of the beautiful Devonne Ashton Music at 8pm. From country to pop, rock to dance and everything inbeween she has definitely got you covered this Friday 🎤🎶💃🏻.

Saturday 19th - Form an orderly queue, our friends from Cumbria ROAST company return at 3pm with their outstanding Yorkshire Pudding Wraps 🤤. We genuinely dream about these they are that good!! Who knows there may be a treat for those who join us 🤫😉.
