If you noticed some our team had bad heads or limps today it’s because yesterday was MV annual sports day!!

It was a proper good laugh, where the cafe team wore their war paint, got into teams and took on sports day classics (some people taking it more seriously than others!)

We have lots of tasty specials on our menu this month and when the sun decides to shine through we have the tables filling up outside too ☀️

🎄 A little something we’re thinking about for Christmas…

We know we’ve only just left summer behind and nobody really wants to be thinking about Christmas yet… however, we wanted to ask our community something early.

This Christmas, we’d love to open Marina View Cafe on Christmas Day between 12-3 for anyone who might need somewhere warm to go.

Maybe you’re on your own, don’t have family nearby, find Christmas a difficult time, or money is a bit tight and a Christmas dinner or a treat out just isn’t possible this year.

It would be on a pay what you can basis, with any money raised going to charity.

We’re thinking of hosting Christmas at the Cafe – serving proper Christmas dinners in a warm, welcoming place where people can sit, chat and enjoy the day together.

Before we commit, we’d just like to get an idea of whether people would actually use it. We’d rather know there’s a need than cook for 30 people and only have two turn up.

So if this sounds like something you would appreciate, or someone you know might, please just give this post a like. No need to comment or explain why.

We’d also ask that people respect what this is for. It’s intended for those who genuinely need somewhere to spend Christmas Day or wouldn’t otherwise be able to enjoy a Christmas meal.

🌿 PILATES, PROSECCO & A PAMPER 🌿

We’re bringing you a lovely summer evening of Pilates, drinks, food and a little bit of pampering on Wednesday 18th August, 6-8pm at Marina View Cafe 🥂

We’ll start with a chilled Pilates flow and meditation to help you switch off, followed by drinks and a graze board, sitting outside with the marina views if the weather is on our side ☀️

Then it’s time for a Tropics skincare pamper, so you can leave feeling fresh, glowy and properly relaxed.

Everyone will also get a little goodie bag with Pilates socks and some other wellness bits 🧦✨

A chance to take a couple of hours for yourself, have a drink and do something a bit different.
