Cloudberry Cafe Cloudberry is a family run cafe. All locally sourced produce, amazing coffee, lovely lunches and stunning handmade cake Reasons to come to Cloudberry:

We make yummy locally sourced coffee, however you take it- espresso, latte, cappuccino, americano, filter. We have decaff, skinny and soya options.

2.) Not a coffee drinker? We stock a great variety of Teapig teabags and loose leaf teas, and yes we do decaff!

3.) All of our food is prepared on site and ingredients are locally sourced- check out our lovely breakfast and lunch menus and daily spec

Hi everyone, thank you so much for the kind words of support whilst I've been struggling with anxiety and depression. I'm not going to lie; last week was probably the hardest Ive experienced but I am slowly beginning to feel better and more like myself.

I've decided that I need another week to fully rest and to get back to full strength, therefore Cloudberry will be closed until 7th December. I don't like the cafe being closed but I need to prioritise my health right now.

After a really difficult couple of months I've decided I need a little Mental Health Mini Break, so Cloudberry will be closed until the 2nd December. I'm OK. Brain just needs a rest.

After my post on Monday I have been overwhelmed by the support of local people. I am beyond humbled and at a loss for words to express the gratitude I feel for every single person who has visited the cafe over the last couple of days. I'm also super grateful for everyone's patience and understanding. We've got extra staff in tomorrow and on Saturday (for the food and drink festival!) and I'm so excited to see everyone for that.

Marple is a wonderful community and I will never forget what you have done for us this week and hopefully beyond. You're all incredible.

** EDIT thanks everyone for the love everyone, we are currently open 10am-3pm Weds to Sat. I've had a really rough day since posting this and your lovely comments and messages have cheered me up no end **

My heart is incredibly heavy whilst I write this, but I have always strived for honesty on social media so here we go.

People keep asking me how business is and I have to be honest; it's not good. In fact it's pretty bad. We are probably a couple of months from having to close for good. We've even had the estate agents out today to value the building, this is not hyperbole; Our customer base has halved since coming out of lockdown and that is just not sustainable for us.

This is a little embarassing to admit, but I would rather post this now than after we've had to close the doors for good and people tell me that they wish they had known.

We need your help more than we ever have, or Cloudberry will be no more. Every coffee you buy, every card, every slice of cake helps me and the staff keep going and right now we need this support. Please share this message for me to anyone who may also want to help out.

I don't really know what else to say without grovelling. Going from running a successful and sustainable business to making a monthly loss is incredibly humbling. It's a good job I have very little shame, though I will go and cringe under a couch cushion after I've written this.

You may not be aware that the reason we have Rose the Frog in Marple is because she was funded by local independent businesses and to celebrate this we are also running the , many of the local businesses have decorated their windows with froggie displays and there's a little trail to follow around these shops and prizes! If you'd like a copy of a map for the Frog Trail I've got a load here, so pop in and grab one
