👨‍🍳 We’re Hiring a Chef! 👩‍🍳

We're open to full time & part time applicants or anyone wanting something a little more flexible!

We’ve got a great opportunity for a Chef to join our relaxed, happy, and hard-working kitchen team! We’re a busy pub kitchen, but we keep things fun and supportive — even when it’s full-on.
What we’re looking for:
✅ Experience in busy kitchen environments
🔥 Confidence working a busy grill
🥦 Experience cooking with fresh ingredients
🙌 Willing to get stuck into all areas of the kitchen
💪 Consistent approach to cooking & presentation
📋 Min Level 2 in Food Hygiene & Allergens
If you can drive that would be a benefit as we pool our teams when needed between The Bulls Head Marple and The Oakwood in Glossop.

Sweet chilli chicken, plenty of melted cheese and peppers & onions … what’s not to love? 🤤

BUFFALO MOZZARELLA & TOMATO
Slices of buffalo mozzarella, beef tomatoes, fresh basil, iceberg lettuce, pesto and balsamic glaze.

SWEET CHILLI CHICKEN
Shredded salt & pepper chicken tossed in sweet chilli sauce, with iceberg lettuce, mozzarella, spring onions and peppers.

Tuna mayo, melted mozzarella and red onion.

🥵 HEAT WAVE SERVICE UPDATE 🥵

Due to the current heatwave, our kitchen team are feeling the heat more than usual. With our low kitchen ceilings and lovely new extension acting as a wind break, working conditions are becoming very difficult for long periods of time.

To look after our team, we’ll be running a reduced kitchen service Friday this week.

Tomorrows Revised Kitchen Opening Times:
12:00pm – 3:00pm
5:00pm – 8:00pm

We’ll still be open as usual for drinks 🍻

If you’re planning to come and see us, it would be really helpful if you could book a table in advance so we can staff accordingly.
