What’s happening for the rest of this week….. 😘

Tuesday (Today) our deli… 😍 check it out below, fully stocked, think cheese & onion, ham & tomato soft cobs, sausage rolls, pork pies & custard tarts. Plus all those chocolate options 🥰
Alongside this we’ll have crusty cheese & onion cobs on the bar throughout the day! (If you’ve had these before you’ll know they are dirty! (In the best way) 😘
Also today; England men’s football Czech Republic vs England kick off 7:45pm 🇨🇿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿⚽️

Thursday; our Coach Quiz has had a shake up & we have new hosts.. you’re going to love them as much as we do! 🤩🥳 Zena & Tracey take to the mic with amazing quiz questions, chemistry & banter! 😍

Saturday; England men’s football kick off 5pm, Croatia vs England 🇭🇷🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿⚽️

Sunday ; This past Sunday was amazing so we know you are loving our newly improved Sunday roast! 😋 (remember this is 12noon to 5pm). Then to round off the week the best way, we have a brand new artist here at the Coach Georgia Loomes with an acoustic music performance you are not going to want to miss, starting at 6pm! 🎤🎶🥰

From the bottom of our hearts.

We’re going to be real here and that doesn’t happen a lot for Joel and happens even less for Amy 😅, but sometimes it’s just necessary.. Running a pub ain’t easy. Don’t get us wrong, we love it, it’s fun and rewarding and awesome but it ain’t easy. Our team (and unashamedly us) put our everything into this place.

We sacrifice weekends with the kids, our team miss nights out with their mates and even if you don’t see boss man or lady downstairs I can promise you we can’t remember the last time we went to bed before 1am (our kids wake up at 7am on a good day) and the to do list still never gets smaller.

September/October is the Coach quiet time. Historically it always has been. Summer holidays over. Everyone is skint 💰 and starting to think about 🎄 and the weather is naff. We’ve had an awesome summer but gone are the days when a pub can survive off a good few months. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Now it’s less than ideal we have to do a menu change at this time but we have too. Sneaky suppliers put everything up in cost which renders the summer menu not viable and all customers want is cosy awesome food with the world’s best gravy. 😏

The constant and unwavering support we get from our Coach family is everything. 🩶 You all do that thing you do that makes us feel super uncomfortable when you tell us how well we’re doing but it’s not us, it’s you.

It’s you all coming to try our new menu. It’s you guys coming in for that cheeky pint after work once a week. It’s you guys that come every other day to catch up with your people. It’s that time where the kids want nuggets and you choose us over maccies, it’s the ones that come to us every single Sunday for your roast. It’s those that join us once or twice a month for the quiz, or those that don’t come often but come consistently to celebrate big life moments. It’s you wonderful humans going along with all our crazy ideas and supporting everything we do.

Given the week we’ve just had we don’t think we can say September is a quiet month anymore for the Coach 😂. You guys have made your local boozer a proper community space that holds its own in one of the most difficult times pubs have known. We only request you keep doing it. Every single visit makes a huge difference to the business and every single conversation, idea and suggestion does too! 😘

We couldn’t be more grateful for you all and what you’ve made your pub into.

So thank you. We appreciate it more than you know. 🩶

New menu day 🥰

If you’ve seen Amy or Anton recently and thought they look exhausted then you were right 😂. With costs being what they are and your guys appreciation for fresh homemade food at great value we’ve worked really hard on this one to make sure it’s the best pub grub menu around.

We’ve got cosy autumn favs (the stew is out of this world) and amazing sharers and small plates. We’ve managed to drop the cost of most of the kids dishes (while upping the portion sizes) and we’ve managed to introduce a lighter lunchtime menu available alongside our bigger one. 😅

All you need to do? Come and try it and let us know what you think. It’s no secret that pubs can get quieter at this time of year but we really do appreciate you guys keeping us so busy! (Even if Amy’s grey hair doesn’t agree).

Wednesday (today) our normal menu available throughout the day from 12 noon & then it’s straight into our now legendary Pie Night! 5pm to 9pm 🥧🥧🥧 Delicious handcrafted, homemade, proper pie choices! Plus any side, plus any veg, all completed with our gorgeous homemade gravy! For only £10!! 🤩

Thursday night we have music bingo! Joel for once is actually all prepped & ready for this & the prizes level will be going up a notch! 🎶🥳

Friday is the launch of our brand new autumn menu 🍂😋🥰 think hearty stews, great value sausage & mash with buckets full of our homemade PROPER gravy (if you know, you know) p.s did we mention the return of our Mixed Grill!! 🥩😜😍

Saturday we have live F1, live football Slovenia vs Scotland 2pm 🇸🇮🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️, England vs Spain 7:45pm 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇪🇸
