And that’s a wrap!

The biggest THANK YOU to all of you who have visited over the last 6 weeks. We’ve loved reminiscing, catching up and having the chance to say good bye.

We’re very proud of all that FD became and feel incredibly lucky to have had the team around us that we had. They’ve gone above and beyond, especially since we announced the closure and for that we’re forever grateful.

We’d like to say thank you to all of our wonderful suppliers and encourage you to get your meat from F. Leakes Butchers, your coffee from Roost Coffee, your eggs from Elliott Eggs, your sourdough from Luke's Bakery and your smoked fish from Staal Smokehouse. They’re all wonderful businesses run by wonderful people.

Please also support your local cafes and restaurants, they need you now more than ever.

For now though, it’s over and out 🫡

We are planning to finish on Sunday 14th September so if anyone has any vouchers please do pop in and use them before then. We are also still taking bookings up until that date.

A Message from The Fiddle Drill 💛

After 10 amazing years, we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to close The Fiddle Drill in mid September.

What began as a small idea in our little corner of Goodmanham has grown into something we could never have imagined and we’re so proud of what we’ve achieved!

Over the past decade, we’ve been lucky enough to meet so many incredible people — our wonderful customers, our hardworking and talented team, and our brilliant local suppliers who have helped make everything possible.

Unfortunately, ongoing economic challenges which affect the entire hospitality industry have made it increasingly difficult for us to continue. This decision is no reflection at all on our current staff — they have been nothing short of fantastic, and we couldn’t be prouder of them.

We plan to close our doors for the final time in mid-September (exact date to be confirmed). Between now and then, we’d love to welcome as many of you as possible for one last coffee, slice of cake, or FD breakfast — so we can say thank you and goodbye in person.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for 10 wonderful years. You’ve made The Fiddle Drill more than just a tea room; you’ve made it a community.
