Are you an ambitious, passionate chef with the leadership skills and commercial awareness to take a kitchen to the next level?
The Salutation Inn is looking for a Kitchen Manager to take full responsibility for our kitchen operation and play a key role in shaping the future of our food offering.
This is more than a traditional chef role. We’re looking for someone who can lead a team, create exciting seasonal menus, manage food costs, drive profitability and deliver an outstanding dining experience that keeps customers coming back.
👨🍳 What you’ll be responsible for:
• Leading and managing the kitchen operation
• Developing seasonal menus, specials and event catering
• Menu costing and managing food margins
• Ordering stock and managing supplier relationships
• Recruiting, training and developing the kitchen team
• Managing rotas, labour costs and productivity
• Maintaining excellent standards of food quality and presentation
• Ensuring food safety and health & safety compliance
• Bringing fresh ideas and helping establish the Salutation Inn as a destination for great food
⭐ What we’re looking for:
We’d love to hear from experienced Kitchen Managers, Head Chefs or Senior Chefs who have:
✔️ Strong leadership and team-building skills
✔️ Experience with menu costing and gross profit management
✔️ A passion for fresh food and exceptional customer experiences
✔️ The creativity to develop exciting, profitable menus
✔️ Excellent organisation and communication skills
✔️ The ability to thrive in a busy hospitality environment
✔️ High standards and genuine pride in what they do
