The "Beef Boogie Woogie" Pie is back!

Our homemade pies are back for autumn and this week we’re onto one of our crowd pleasing staples

Slow cooked braised steak in red w**e with baby button chestnut mushrooms, smoky bacon and tiny grelot onions

It’s our take on a traditional Bœuf Bourguignon, wrapped up in a filo pastry pie and served with your choice of creamy mash or chips, petit pois and Bourguignon gravy. Bursting with flavour

And the name? According to Mike, “Beef Boogie Woogie” is roughly what Bœuf Bourguignon becomes after us English attempt to pronounce French dish names and the name has stuck ever since!

So boogie on down and come and see us this week to try one for yourself 🍂

🎪 THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER AMAZING MARKFEST! ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along yesterday and made it such a brilliant day. We hope you all had an amazing time and thankfully, we managed to escape most of the rain we’d been preparing ourselves for!

A massive thank you to all of our incredible artists for keeping us entertained throughout the day - RJP Folk, Hannah Mac, Sam Evans and Dawson Avenue 🎤🎸

And, of course, MarkFest simply wouldn’t happen without the enormous team working behind the scenes. Thank you to our bar and food teams, sound and lighting crew, Covered Marquees, security, production team, suppliers and everyone who helped with the set-up, running of the day and the mammoth clear-up afterwards!

There’s a huge amount of work that goes into putting MarkFest together each year, but seeing the garden full of people enjoying themselves makes it all completely worth it!

Thank you for continuing to support our little festival and for making MarkFest VIII one to remember.

We’ll see you all next year 👀🎪

🌦️ WE'VE SEEN THE FORECAST 👀 | HOT FOOD & COVER SORTED 🍟🎪

We’ve been keeping our eyes on Sunday’s forecast and with the possibility of a few showers, we’ve decided that hot, loaded chips might go down a little better than pizza!

So we’ve had a little rethink of the MarkFest food stand and this Sunday we’ll be serving White Horse Loaded Chips 🍟

Plus, we’re adding covered space for Sunday!

A massive thank you to Covered Marquees (coveredmarquees.co.uk) for stepping in and supplying us with a large marquee for MarkFest, very much appreciated!

Hopefully all this preparation will now guarantee glorious sunshine from 4pm onward😂
