HOT TUNA

it has become an instant hit since we put it on at the beginning of summer

tuna mixed with jeow som mayo (a sweet, sour and spicy mix of red chilli, lime juice, garlic, fish sauce and coriander) with our house made mooli, onion, carrot and furikake slaw and mature british cheddar

a kind of Thai tuna toastie with a familiar melted cheddar in the background

TOP TIP : there is also a band called hot tuna. why not buy a hot tuna and take it home and listen to hot tuna whilst eating it 🐟 🎶 😋

HELLO!!

summer is definitely in full swing here in margate!
it’s hot, it’s busy, it’s good vibes, we just had the busiest week on record AND we actually didn’t sell out!

we are stocking our fridges hard and making sure we are ready for you!

so what’s the NEWS this week?

🌯 this weekend is the first of the month so we have HENRY on the specials board - handrolled meatballs, goodfellas prison sauce, collard greens & pancetta, provolone and fresh basil
🌯 we have the “deli” on as a special from tomorrow until friday - salami milano, salami picante, prosciutto, provolone, confit garlic aioli, guindilla peppers, rocket and fresh basil
🌯 new things on the deli shelf including Dipp Dips for your beach picnic!

back in may we had our first collab with Chris and his brand BLOXHAMS. inspired by his family run betting shop in east london, Chris designs and produces clothing and accessories that contain imagery and branding from the bookies.

we did a ham, egg and chips special sub, with burnt pineapple ketchup, as a nod to Chris’s Nan and sold Bloxhams clobber on the day

i remember it was boiling that day and i was trapped between the oven, fryer and flattop grill 😮‍💨 but we sold out of everything and was great to able to provide some exposure to a great local independent brand 👍

HELLO!

thanks everyone for making last week such a big one! ready for the same again this week!

NEWS!

🌯 summer holidays are beginning from next week, and we are upping our orders for the next 2 months to be prepped to bursting ready for ya!

🌯 the “SARNS DELI” weekday special will be back on this week - 2 kinds of salami, prosciutto, provolone, aioli, basil, rocket and guindilla peppers 😋

🌯 Jorge of Komorebi Kitchen is taking over the specials board this weekend with 3 sandwiches; 2 savoury and 1 sweet! All vegan, Japanese inspired and only available 11-4 saturday, you do not wanna miss it.

the next couple of months are gonna be intense for everyone working in hospitality in seaside towns. we promise we are all trying our best to give you an experience you will love, so when it gets a bit chaotic please be kind, be respectful and have a laugh with us, it really means a lot 👍

SO, that being said, here’s to margate summer 26 🍻
