Morning everyone.
Following my post yesterday I’ve had so many lovely comments and messages asking if I’m ok, I thought I should probably pop a post up explaining things.
Yesterday I was told my landlords insurance will no longer allow me to run Good Plates from my home. That essentially means no more baking to sell and no more Bread Shed. I strongly believe that although this is our home, it’s our landlords house and I choose to respect that and not risk anything for them, or my family.
I have worked so hard for months now to build Good Plates and to say I am devastated is quite the understatement.
I don’t have any options of how to move forward yet. But I will come up with some.
I really hope you can all be patient with me while I try to navigate this. And I hope that when I can work out a plan of action and find somewhere new to bake that you will still come and buy my bread and support my little business that means so very much to me.
Baking was a passion turned job and as someone who lost herself for so long in a career she didn’t love I have to find a way to work this out and try to see this as an opportunity for growth (somehow!).
Good Plates is not in a position to be standalone in its own venue yet unfortunately, although that would be amazing one day. So, I welcome ideas; there are over 900 of you on this page and 900 head is definitely way better than 1, so please feel free to comment many ideas or suggestions you may have.
Thanks for being so amazing these last few months, it means the world, truly.
Hopefully I’ll be back soon 🍞❤️ xx
