A little of the past week at Sargasso.

A few unexpected days of October sunshine, long lunches and tables outside.

The weather might be turning, but we’re still here for lunch and dinner throughout the weekend. The lights are a little lower, the candles are lit and the dishes are getting warmer as autumn settles in.

A little heads-up: scaffolding is currently up along the Harbour Arm while roof works take place, so our usual outside tables won’t be available for the time being.

As we head into our final week of summer opening hours, we’ll soon be settling into a slightly slower rhythm for the months ahead.

From Monday 7th September, we’ll be open four days a week:

Friday + Saturday — 12–9:30pm
Sunday + Monday — 12–8:30pm

Lunch and dinner as usual, with seasonal changes in the kitchen and plenty of good bottles to see us through the cooler months.

We’re making a little more room for you this Bank Holiday weekend, with later bookings available on Sunday and Monday.

This Sunday, we’ll be taking bookings until 9pm, and on Bank Holiday Monday you’ll be able to book a table right through until 3:30pm.

There are still a few spots available across the weekend — book via the link in bio. As always, we’ll also keep some tables unreserved for walk-ins.

This Sunday we turn five!

To mark the occasion, we’ll be celebrating all day with the things that have shaped Sargasso over the last five years — food, w**e and music.

From 12pm, Will Gleave and Ed Wilson will be serving an à la carte birthday menu featuring dishes that have defined Sargasso over the years and continue to shape what we do today, paired with a selection of w**es and aperitivi from our friends at Tutto Wines.

From 6pm, the tables move aside as Ed Wilson and Matthew Herbert take over the decks until late. The bar will be pouring £5 drinks, plenty of w**e and, of course, a few special bottles, while the kitchen will be slinging Nashville hot chicken sandwiches throughout the evening.

Lunch has been incredibly popular and we’re now fully booked, but we’ve opened a handful of later lunch sittings. With the sunshine looking set to stay, we’ll also have outside tables available and plenty of walk-in spots, so if you haven’t managed to secure a booking yet, please get in touch or walk down early.

We’d love to celebrate with you.

Happy New Year!

We’re open for lunch service until 3:30pm, and we’re nearly fully booked.
For those in need of a gentle reset: oysters and Bloody Marias pouring, plus a few special bottles and magnums opened for the occasion.
