Based in Padstow, the hatchery works to help protect and restore native lobster populations through conservation, research and education, supporting healthy seas for future generations. Visit the hatchery in Padstow to experience their dedicated marine conservation work in action.

This evening's illumination recognises the important work they do to help safeguard our coastal waters.

At the heart of St Michael's Mount sits the island church.

Built largely in the late 14th century on the footprint of an earlier church dating back to 1135, it has welcomed worshippers and visitors for centuries. Today, the church remains a place of peace and reflection, with regular Sunday services held from mid-May to the end of September.

Tonight at 8pm on Channel 5, St Michael’s Mount is featured in Cornwall: A Year by the Sea, as the episode follows life on this unique tidal island.

From restoring the historic landscape following the storms, to caring for the garden terraces and welcoming visitors to the castle, it’s a behind-the-scenes look at the people who help make the Mount such a special place.

Great British Summer Savings at St Michael’s Mount ☀️

From 25 June to 1 September 2026, St Michael’s Mount is taking part in the Government’s Great British Summer Savings scheme.

During this period, the temporary reduction in VAT has been passed directly on to visitors through reduced admission ticket prices.

Savings are also available on selected children’s food and drink, including:
• Children’s Afternoon Tea
• Children’s meals in Harbour Loft
• Children’s lunch boxes

Reduced prices are automatically applied to tickets booked online or purchased at the ticket trailer for visits between 25 June and 1 September.

Visitors can also continue to benefit from the Advance Booking Rate by booking before midnight on the day before their visit, offering further savings on selected tickets.
