☕🌟 A very exciting morning for our Hospitality & Catering learners!

H and Toby were delighted to be invited to officially open the brand-new Starbucks branch at Berry Hill, Mansfield, just off the A6117 this morning!

The team gave them a fantastic welcome, answering plenty of questions from our learners and their tutor, Carol, and even showing them how they make a delicious caramel latte!

It was a brilliant opportunity for H and Toby to see behind the scenes of a professional coffee shop, pick up some new ideas and take away plenty of tips and inspiration to bring back to the Portland Coffee Shop.

But the excitement doesn't stop there! We're thrilled that the new branch has chosen Portland as its Charity of the Year. They'll be getting involved in fundraising activities for Portland very soon, and we're looking forward to seeing how this fantastic partnership develops over the year.

A huge thank you to the Starbucks Berry Hill team for such a warm welcome and for supporting our learners. We can't wait to see what's next.

We're thrilled to be the venue once again this weekend for this fabulous event, perfectly inclusive for the whole family!

Wired Differently Festival itself is completely packed with things to see and do, including Vicky McClure’s Our Dementia Choir, therapy donkeys, sensory activities, reptiles, crafts, games, woodland activities, SEN football and plenty more.

The whole of the Portland campus will be utilised with a reflective woodland area to sit and have a minute, the Portland Coffee Shop will be open with a queue buddy who will jump in and take your place if queueing feels overwhelming for you, a woodland scavenger hunt, and our wonderful Woodland Adventure Zone will be open with soon-to-be announced activities!

Also, look out for India who will be at the Portland Assessments stand on Sunday. India will be there to talk all things autism and ADHD assessments, providing all of the advice and guidance you may need if you are looking for a potential diagnosis.

Just a reminder that Portland Coffee Shop is closed today (Thursday 16th July) and tomorrow (Friday 17th July) while we celebrate our end-of-year learner events.

We'll be back open on Saturday as usual from 9am – 4pm, so pop in for your favourite coffee, homemade treats and a warm welcome!

From week commencing Monday 20th July, we'll be operating our summer opening hours while our learners and teaching staff enjoy a well-deserved summer break:
