Today we quietly opened the doors to The Park for the very first time!

We haven’t really advertised an opening date because, if we’re completely honest, we weren’t 100% sure when we’d be ready.

There have been lots of little last-minute things to get over the line, and the last thing we wanted to do was announce a big opening, have everyone turn up and then not be able to give you the experience we wanted to.

So today became our little soft opening — a chance for our lovely new team to find their feet, get used to the space and iron out any little teething problems.

And we did it!
The Park is officially OPEN!

We’re currently serving our full range of coffees, teas, cold drinks, cakes and sweet treats.

We have had a couple of issues getting our kitchen completely ready, so there’s no food menu just yet, but we’re hoping to have sausage rolls available this weekend, with the rest of our food following as soon as the kitchen is ready.

We’d much rather build things up gradually and get it right than rush and get it wrong.

Thank you so much to everyone who found us today — it was so lovely to finally see people sitting in The Park after all the work that’s gone into getting here.

Come and see us, grab a coffee and have a nosey around our new home.

We can’t wait to welcome you. ☕️

Could we ask a favour…do any of you wonderful people have any images of your lovely park that you’d be willing to share with us? The image attached is beautiful and we love it!

Any images of the new building, the pond, wildlife, and if your happy to any of you lovely people enjoying the park? If you’d be happy for us to use them on our socials, website and ordering kiosks we’d happily give you some drinks on the house?

Little update from us at The Park…

We’re getting there…we promise!

We’re hopefully around 10–14 days away from opening, and we are working as hard as we possibly can to get everything ready.

The ice cream machine has arrived, the till is being programmed, the website is nearly built, staff training is underway and the never-ending list is finally starting to look slightly less never-ending.

Our smallest member of management, Olive, is also helping enormously, mainly by supervising, smiling at everyone and ensuring productivity regularly comes to a complete stop…we’re sure a lot of you have already met Olive…

In the meantime, we’re hoping to have the horsebox at Berry Hill every day, so you can still come and get your coffee fix while we finish getting The Park ready…

We know everyone is desperate for us to open, and desperate for the toilets…and believe us, nobody wants those doors open more than we do!
But good things come to those who wait, and we want to open when we're genuinely ready rather than rush it just for the sake of saying we're open.

So please bear with us, be kind and have a little more patience, there isn’t a big company or corporation behind The Park. It’s proudly independent — just us, our brilliant team, family and friends, all mucking in and trying to create something really lovely for Berry Hill.

🔑 We've got the keys!

Today is a big day for us as we've officially collected the keys to The Park at Berry Hill…

We'll be working as hard as we can to get open as soon as possible. These things always take a little time, so thank you in advance for your patience while we get everything ready.

The good news is that our horsebox coffee trailer will be up and running as soon as possible, so you'll be able to grab a coffee from us before the main building opens. ☕

We'll also have dog-friendly areas, so your four-legged friends will be very welcome too 🐾

As a small, local independent business, your support means everything to us. Please keep following our journey—we can't wait to welcome you all soon ☕️

Well we are so close guys...!
Contracts have been agreed by all parties finally!
One last hurdle and we should have keys!!

Just for clarity, as we've seen lots of information and miss-information about us & the building on Berry Hill Park.

We haven't pulled out!

All is moving forward!

Donald trump isnt opening the building!

For now we don't have any jobs going but watch this space...our website will have vacancies when they're available.

And yes...although we do operate Fables Coffee House and Major Brew in Edwinstowe, The Park at Berry Hill will be its own entity.
Not a carbon copy, but we will, like always, aim for quality and what the building deserves to be...☕️

Hello Berry Hill 👋
So, it’s been a week already — here’s a little update from us on where things currently stand...

Full Opening
To become fully operational, we’re still working through the legal side of things.
We know it can feel frustratingly slow at times, but it’s important that everything is done properly and correctly from the start.
At the moment, we feel this process may take a little longer than we originally hoped.

Pop-Up Style Opening
The good news is that plans for a lighter “pop-up” style opening are moving in the right direction.
There are still a few final details to work through, but so far everything has been positive and agreed in principle.
If all continues to go well, we’re hopeful this will be a matter of weeks rather than months.

Play Area Update
While we’re still waiting for formal confirmation in writing, we understand that the new play area is expected to open to the public from the afternoon on 12th May — which is really exciting news for everyone 🎉

If all goes to plan, we’re also hoping to be there on the day with our mobile horse box serving our own roasted coffee, teas and cold drinks for everyone to enjoy!!

Hello Berry Hill...
We’re very excited to introduce ourselves as the planned operators of the new building at Berry Hill Park.

Our aim is to create a welcoming independent coffee house for all.

We’re still working through the final stages before confirming an official opening date.

In the meantime, we’re hoping to open on a limited basis as soon as possible, so the building can be brought to life and visitors can enjoy the space over the summer — including access to the public toilets and the new play park facilities.

We know many people are eager to see the park open, and so are we. We’ll share updates here as soon as we can.

While we continue working through the final details of the new Coffee House, this page will be used for announcements only, so we may not be able to reply to comments or private messages just yet.
