We’ve got loads happening this September and we’d love you to come along, get involved, meet new people and enjoy everything our little community has to offer! 🥰

🔮 WEDNESDAY 16TH SEPTEMBER – PSYCHIC NIGHT 🔮

Why not come along early, grab something to eat and a drink, relax and spend some time together before the evening begins? ☕🍰

We’ll be joined by some special visitors bringing their ukuleles and treating us to a few songs! 🎵🪕

Everyone is welcome, and of course there’ll be CAKE! 🍰❤️

Sheila will be here teaching you how to crochet in our small, friendly and intimate sessions.

💷 £10 for your first lesson – materials included
💷 £5 per session thereafter

We seem to be having issues with ours and need a replacement. If anyone has one they no longer use and would be willing to donate or sell cheaply, we’d really appreciate it

We’re open and ready to serve you lovely lot! 🥰 Come down, grab a brew, have a bite to eat and enjoy a little catch-up. ❤️

🌟 WE’RE LOOKING AT NEW THINGS FOR THE CAFÉ! 🌟

We’d love to make Hug in a Mug even more of a community space, so we’re looking at introducing different groups and activities.

Some ideas we’ve had are:

☕ Chit & Chat
🧶 Craft & Hobby Groups
…and anything else YOU think would be useful!

Day 2 of Doolallies days out, today was Bolton Food Festival, we went in the car and maybe wsnt a good idea as we searched for a car park ! We eventually found one and found our way into the town center. We mooched round all the stalls and settled on Paella for our lunch. It was lovely , then found a coconut cake stall and had warm chocolate coconut cakes, devine. We had 4 four hours on the clock for the car park, but what we didnt allow for was the hour we spent looking for the car park ! When we got to the car we found Margarets watch beside the car which must of dropped off when we parked up, how lucky was she to find it. Stressed to the max we drove home. A good day out and we missed thd rain aswell.

Only 2 Doolallies out today so we thought we'd venture out to Stoneclough to La Roma, recomended by Matthew Symms. We wernt disappointed. What a lovely place, situated by a lovely brook linked by a lovely bridge which led to a beautiful church.
We both had sunday dinner which was really lovely, cld of done with a couple more roasties but was still lovely, followed by creme brulee for Margaret and a layer cake for me, although I was reading the dessert menu to her and instead of her hearing Tiramisu she heard tin of soup, those hearing aids are really needed! We then went for a lovely walk over the bridge to walk off our lunch.
Delilah the duck has now got a new home, with lots of other little ducks and a lovely shack and paddling pool. We were delighted and thought she would be really happy, she is, although all the other ducklings are terrified cus Delilah is a bully, who'd of thought ?. More adventures tomorrow people.
