dear friends,
it is with great sadness that emma and i have taken the decision to close the rose garden. we have had six incredible years serving all of you but have decided it is time for us to move to pastures new.
following the birth of our second child we have found the demands of running a restaurant whilst trying to enjoy some semblance of family life has become too much and have taken the decision to move down to cornwall as it has always been our dream to live by the sea.
i would like to thank each and every person who has ever dined with us, you made the restaurant and we couldn’t have achieved anything without you. every time we have been down or struggling a customer will have made one small positive comment which makes all of the hard work worthwhile.
we have had some incredible staff over the years and i would like thank each and every member of staff we have ever employed, with special mentions to alex siddons, oscar neill and sandra rickute from the front of house team my siblings joe and chloe and to hannah widdowson in the kitchen without their hard work we would have got nowhere!
the backing of my parents george and clare has been incredible and the restaurant is as much a part of them as it was us. words cannot express my gratitude to them and if i can support my children half as much as they have me, i will be a happy man.
so it is goodbye from everyone here at the rose garden, if you would like to get one last fix we will be opening wednesday-saturday between the 18/4/17 until 6/5/17 and then the 8th 9th and 10th of may will be our last services.
thanks again for your loyal custom over the last six years and all the best in the future.
bill, emma and the whole rose garden team.
