🖤🩷 DEAD GOOD GIVING STARTS TODAY!🖤🩷
We’ve decided that giving back is going to become a permanent part of what we do at Fatal Bakehouse.
Our little business is supported by an amazing local community, and we want some of the money spent with us to find its way back into that community and the organisations doing brilliant things within it.
Charity work, humanitarian causes and activism have always been really close to my heart, so this is something I’ve wanted to build into Fatal Bakehouse properly for a while.
Going forward, from January–August, we’ll donate £20 each month to a local charity or good cause.
Then from September–December, Dead Good Giving takes over!
During these colder months we’ll step things up and support a selection of charities and causes with double donations!
And today officially kicks off this year’s Dead Good Giving!
Our first donation has gone to
Rescue Kitties Cat Rescue Greater Manchester 🐈⬛🖤 As a cat mama of three, cats have a massive place in my heart and the work this rescue does is so admirable! It's a thankless, hard and often upsetting job to care for all the cats that come into their care, and medical bills, expenses and other things they require to keep running also costs a fortune and charities like this will always need our continuing support, please go give some love to this fantastic charity!
As we're starting the monthly giving part of this a little late in the year, we've also made eight £20 donations to represent January–August, supporting:
🖤 Re:dish
🩷 The Wellspring Stockport
🖤 Signpost for Carers
🩷 Millie's Trust
🖤 Stockport Women's Centre
🩷 Chelwood Foodbank Plus - Fighting SK Poverty
🖤 Heatons Cats
🩷 Stockport Cerebral Palsy Society / Supportability
We’ve also donated £60 worth of selection boxes to Summer’s mission to help with her wonderful Christmas mission 🎄🍫
This isn't really a post about what we've donated, though. It's about shining a little light on the people behind these organisations and the work they do every single day.
So please go and give them a follow. 🖤
Have a nosey at what they do, share their posts, support their fundraisers and, if you're ever in a position to, chuck a few quid their way.
Small local charities and community organisations often do an unbelievable amount with very little, and we'd love Dead Good Giving to help introduce some of our customers to causes they might not have come across before.
And ultimately, every cake, brownie, cookie or trip to one of our sheds helps us do a little bit more of this.
Thank you for the continued supporting for our little business!
Jen, Dom & Team xx
