The sixth annual SMODFEST at Brewery of SMOD! 🩵🤍

Inspired by summertime German folk festivals, it's easily one of the best UK beer events of the year.

Four incredible lagers on draught, each brewed with their custom koelship, schlager music, pretzels and wursts.

Thanks to Dan & Martha and everyone at St Mars for the hospitality, we'll definitely be back next year!

“It’s not Cidermoth” was one of Scott’s remarks when asked about ciders in the past. But we do now, in fact, have a wide range of ciders now. 🍎🍏

The 2023 edition of Raison d'Être from Ross-on-Wye Cider & Perry Co with Dabinett and Bisquet apples, with higher acidity and gentle fruit character from an unusually cool and rainy season (hard to imagine). Apricot, apple and spice with a subtle vanilla character from the oak.

Quercus 2022 edition from Wilding, from a more relatable hot and dry season, with Harry Masters Jersey, Ellis Bitter and Browns Apples amongst other varieties. Matured in three casks: a tawny port pipe and two red wine barriques. Tannin-heavy, fruity and fresh.

Drinking Beer №15 is now pouring on our hand pulls along with a range of coleysbrewery beers!

It's everything you (and we) want in a low ABV sessionable Pale Ale. Super fresh, crisp and refreshing with a subtle bitterness.

It'll be pouring until we run out, and we have a lot of casks to get through…

This Friday (24th) we’re excited to be launching the 15th Edition of our house rotating cask series, Drinking Beer, this time with Coley’s!

It’s an easy-drinking 4.0% Pale Ale featuring New Zealand hops and limequat hop kief, to really take the citrus flavours up a few notches.

We’ll also have a range of other casks on the handpumps, with their XPA, Stout, Bright Summer Pale, and Extra Special Bitter all pouring too!

Everything will be pouring from midday, and headbrewer Lee will be down to take any of your questions about his brewery.

Coley's invited us down for a sundrenched collab last week for Drinking Beer 15! 🌞

Unveiling on our bar soon will be this cask-only release, a mid-strength Pale Ale focusing on drinkability (as always). We'll have a mini launch soon, so keep an eye out for the to be announced date!

Mindful of our surroundings, we also took the opportunity to try some Rochdale pubs, with The Baum, The Flying Horse Hotel and Our Gracie's being standouts. Definitely worth a day trip out!

Proud to be the winners of CAMRA's Pub of the Year for Central Manchester for 2026.

Lots of hard graft behind the scenes by our outstanding bar team to make things like this posible, especially in a difficult year so far with consolidating two businesses and amongst personal challenges, but as always they've given it nothing but their very best.

Thanks to you too for all your support during a uncertain landscape for pubs and bars across the country, it means everything.
