🍽 Since announcing our closure, the support we've received has been something like a phenomenom. Our sales have doubled, we've been fully booked most nights with record day/weeks of reservations and click n collect orders - mad

💏 The team have been incredible, it has been a real challenge and super demaning to keep up with doubling the demand overnight whilst dealing with the impending closure too.

🥳 So our closing party on Sunday will be a pretty casual affair from 12-10pm, no tickets or reservations so please just come through and eat/drink us out of house and home - we'll have a selection of DJs performing throughout the day.

🚐 To clarify, we won't be looking to carry on the business with the catering trailer or at etihad - it feels like the right time to close this chapter and try to finish on a high.

CLOSING DOWN PARTY - SUNDAY 2ND MARCH 2025 - DETAILS TBA

After 11 years, we're unfortunately joining the chorus of independent businesses in Manchester and beyond, calling it a day.

Although Ancoats was an amazing area for us to embark on our bricks & mortar dream, the cost increases from Brexit, Covid, Energy, VAT (halving it would save a lot in the industry), BB Loans etc has meant it's unviable in its current form - we would've had to increase prices much more than we'd be comfortable with to get the margins we need to keep going.

It's an extremely tough decision given it's 15 years since the idea was born in my early 20s - then alongside Luke Stocks & Holly Robson whilst working other jobs we began building it from scratch every weekend, to then quitting our jobs and taking a leap of full-time faith. Ultimately, we need to listen to the head, not the heart.

We wanted to give enough notice to support our amazing team in finding new jobs, making sure all our suppliers are paid up and provide our supportive customers with the last chance to eat/drink/party with us.

GIFT CARDS - please make sure you use them before the end of the month!

DELIVERIES - we'll be turning off delivery platforms as we make hardly make a penny from them, sorry!

COLLECTIONS - they will remain on via our website

DINE-IN - reserve a table through our website

🍽 BOOK A TABLE

I spent $60 one-off fee for our table reservation software about 5 years ago because I'm cheap. I think it's powered by willpower alone but it does the job.

It really helps us if you book a table in advance on our website (remember them?) so we know we're not going to be staring into the abyss screaming at passers-by through the window to come and temporarily warm our seats.

Walk-ins always welcome of course, but there's nothing more attractive than organisation so advance planners will hold a special place in our hearts forever.

💳 What We've Raised So Far: £437

📈 Targets:
£660 - funds one child's lesson for a year
£821 - will fund a child’s lessons, instruments/repairs, books, exams, access to choirs, composer’s club, and all termly concerts.

🧒 Olympias Music Foundation is a grassroots charity delivering music lessons to children in Manchester who are on free school meals. Their ‘Play it Forward’ campaign runs from 25 November – 25 December and is raising funds for a year of free instruments and lessons for 25 more children on free school meals in 2025.

🏆If you are not too familiar with Olympias, you can visit their website (www.olympiasmusicfoundation.com) to see some of their incredible projects, and read more about their achievements to date.

🎷The new academic year has begun, and Olympias are delivering free weekly 1:1 lessons to 150 children living in Manchester. Their aim is to change the course of each child’s life through the joy that only learning an instrument can bring, and to provide cultural capital that will serve them throughout their lives.

🚌 The situation is that they are over-subscribed and will be welcoming another 25 children to the programme in 2025. They need the support of organisations and people across Manchester to fund their music lessons and other cultural development opportunities.

Over the past few years, UK Hip-Hop legend Genesis Elijah has evolved from an underground staple to a household name in the UK music scene. After securing victory in the prestigious MOBO Unsung competition in 2022, his musical journey has been unstoppable. Collaborations with heavyweight labels such as Hospital Records, DnB Allstars, and DJ Zinc’s Bingo Records have cemented his place in Grime and Drum & Bass. His signing with the legendary V Recordings marked a milestone in his career.

Now, Genesis Elijah is venturing into new territory with his first-ever UK Garage project, Inside All Summer. The EP is a nostalgic love letter to the early 2000s UKG scene, complete with his signature down-to-earth lyrics and raw, relatable storytelling. Infused with the infectious energy of UKG, this release brings a fresh yet familiar sound, reminiscent of the genre’s golden age.
