SAMPA was built DIY by Caroline, Tim and the team, with every corner inspired by the raw beauty of São Paulo’s brutalist architecture.

Caroline is a huge admirer of Lina Bo Bardi, the Italian-born Brazilian modernist architect behind some of São Paulo’s most iconic buildings, including MASP (São Paulo Museum of Art) and Casa de Vidro. Her influence can be felt throughout SAMPA: concrete, dark green, black, silver and touches of gold come together to create a space that feels intentionally raw and industrial.

What might feel clumsy or unfinished to some feels like home to those who love the city — a celebration of the concrete jungle, as São Paulo is so often called.

Manchester is definitely becoming a gastronomic destination for foodies • Where else would I find Dan and the Bees honey for our cheese course, or chocolate made from scratch using Brazilian cocoa beans from Dormouse Chocolates ? • Not to mention the most delicious Brazilian coffee from Amarelo - Specialty Coffee • Working with local suppliers is part of what makes SAMPA what it is • From the good old pop-up days back in 2022 to where we are in 2026… what a journey! Thanks for being part of it, Manchester ♥️
