Dear friends,

It’s with great sadness that I have to inform you that A Few Scoops will be closing for good on Sunday 29th September. This decision wasn’t easy to make but a combination of rising wages, crippling VAT bills and being reliant on this wonderful English weather has just made it impossible to keep the business in it’s current form afloat.

I’m incredibly proud of the business and everything it has achieved in the last 4 years and I want to thank you all for your love and support over this time. I hope one day, Scoops can become the brand that I always wished it to be, but for now, I have to do what’s right for me and my health. The hospitality industry is in absoloute crisis and when you add the reliance of sunshine in Manchester on top of that, it becomes untenable.

Weather permitting, we will be open until Sunday of next week (29th) and then all pop ups, pitches and events will cease. A big thank you once again to you all. I hope it’s not goodbye, just see you soon.

Hello folks, I wanted to share a little life update, nothing to do with ice cream but everything to do with the business.

Yesterday I lost my dad. Although I have some amazing scooping staff, I am predominantly a one woman operation and the past few days have taken a huge toll on me.

As a result, I’m going to take a couple of weeks off and spend some quality time with my loved ones and focus on giving the old man a decent send off. The sites at and will remain unaffected, but I won’t be taking on any event bookings or answering emails and DM’s. Don’t panic if you have a booking with us in the next week or so, these will still be honoured!
