The Woodthorpe is situated on Bury Old Road Prestwich next to Heaton Park. It is a 19th century Victorian property formerly the family home of Sir Edward Holt, it was later converted to a pub/hotel in the 1950s. Dine in the cosy and traditional bar area, or the luxurious Carvery and Function Room, which is available to hire for any occasion. There is a full range of traditional Joseph Holt real ales, together with carefully selected quality wines from around the world to complement our premier food menu. It also has a superb outdoor heated and covered terrace with beer garden for outdoor socialising. The Woodthorpe caters for all types of functions and parties and has an extensive wedding reception package including three en-suite bedrooms.

His owners tell us that Buddy absolutely loves people and LOVES his food — especially his Sunday dinner! 😋🍽️

Apparently, Hilda doesn’t bark… which sounds perfect, right? Well, yes… until bedtime! 😂
Her owner tells us that Hilda is a VERY loud snorer — so while she may not make a peep during the day, she certainly makes up for it at night! 😴💤🤣

🎄❤️ CHRISTMAS AT THE WOODTHORPE – IT’S ALL ABOUT GIVING! ❤️🎄

This Christmas, we’re doing things a little differently and spreading some festive cheer where it’s needed most. 🎅✨

🎁 For the first time, we’re introducing our Giftmas Tree! We’ll be collecting gifts for homeless people and pets who deserve a little Christmas magic too. 🐾❤️

🥘 We’ll also be feeding homeless people in Manchester this Christmas, because nobody should be forgotten at this time of year.

🎄 And we’re giving away a Christmas table to a deserving person or family who could really use some festive kindness. ❤️
