A quieter month for us on the markets in June, but we've got some cracking events lined up.

We're kicking things off with two days at We Invented the Weekend – Manchester's biggest free festival – before heading over to Bramhall and Heald Green later in the month.

Come hungry, bring your mates, and let me take care of the rest 😎

Just over a week to go until the first Romiley Food on Friday of the year. Great to see so many businesses with our posters up.

Watch this space for more stall announcements as we get closer to the 15th.

Big step for me…

I’m officially looking for a space to bring Neighbour Hubb to life ☕

The vision is simple — great coffee, a clean modern space, and something that genuinely adds to the community.

If you’ve seen an empty unit, know a landlord, or just have a lead — I’d really appreciate you reaching out.

Even a share goes a long way 🙏

Let’s build something special.

Level 1 done ☕️✅

Not gonna lie… this opened my eyes.

I went in thinking I’d learn how to make coffee —
came out realising there’s a whole craft behind it.

Ratios, timing, technique… there’s levels to this.

And honestly?

I rate it.

Because now I know what I’m building towards.

This is bigger than just “making a good coffee” —
it’s about creating something people actually come back for.

Neighbour Hubb is starting to feel real now.

Still early. Still learning.

But I’m locked in 👊🏼

What's the one thing that instantly ruins coffee for you? 👀

Thought I’d just come in, make a few coffees and figure it out…

Yeah… not quite 😅

It was a proper reality check.

Missed shots. Bad pours. Milk all over the place.
But also… a lot of learning.

❌ Not: “this is harder than I thought, maybe this isn’t for me”

✅ It IS:
“I’ve just seen the gap between where I am and where I need to be”

And honestly… I’m good with that.

Because I’m not here to be average at this.

This is just the beginning.
A lot more to learn. A lot more to figure out.

If you’ve been supporting The Samosa Guy…
I hope you’ll come along for this journey too →

Let’s see where it goes 🤷🏽‍♂️

Some of you have been asking when I’m opening a shop…

Truth is, I’ve been thinking about it for some time.

Today, I stopped thinking and started doing.

First barista training

No idea how it’s gonna go… but I know I need to start somewhere.

If this works out, this is where Neighbour Hubb begins.

If not… at least I didn’t just sit on the idea.

This here is my first ever attempt at making a coffee.

Not perfect. Not even close.

But it’s a start, right?

⚠️ If you haven’t already, go and follow — that’s where I’ll be sharing the journey of this new idea.

A lot of people have asked me about the name Neighbour Hubb, so I thought I’d explain it properly.

Over the past few years doing markets as The Samosa Guy, the best part of it hasn’t just been the food — it’s been the people.

Customers stopping for a chat.
Regulars coming back week after week.
Meeting people from all over Manchester.

It made me realise something… the best businesses aren’t just places you buy something from. They’re places where people feel welcome.

When I started thinking about opening a coffee place, I didn’t want it to feel like just another coffee shop.

I wanted it to feel like somewhere you could walk into and feel comfortable straight away.

Somewhere you could meet a friend.
Somewhere you could sit quietly with a coffee.
Somewhere you could come after work, after prayers, or after a long day and just relax.

That’s where the name came from.

Neighbour — because I want people to feel like they’re walking into a place run by someone from their own community.

And Hubb with two B’s.

Yes it represents a “hub” — a place where people come together.

But there’s another meaning behind it too.

In Arabic, “hubb” means love.

And that’s really what I want this place to be about — good coffee, good people, and a place built with love for the community around it.

Neighbour Hubb isn’t just about coffee.

It’s about building somewhere people feel connected to.

It’s still early days, but the journey has started.

If you want to follow along and support the new idea, head over to

Let’s see where this goes ☕🤲🏼🤞🏼

Some of you know me as The Samosa Guy.

For the past few years I’ve been serving samosas and chaat at markets across Greater Manchester. I’ve met some incredible people along the way and your support has meant everything.

But I’ve been sitting on an idea for a while now…

I want to open a late-night coffee spot in South Manchester.

Somewhere people can come after work, after prayers, after a long day — to grab a great coffee, a quick bite, and just relax. A place that feels welcoming, calm, and community-driven.

Over the next year I’m going to start working towards making this happen.

Learning coffee.
Testing drinks.
Looking for a small unit.
Figuring it all out.

No guarantees it will work. But I’d regret it if I didn’t try.

If you’ve supported The Samosa Guy, I hope you’ll follow this journey too

Let’s see where it goes ☕
