Yesterday, a total of £2,142 raised from this year’s charity football match was split equally and paid to Ronald McDonald House Charities and Midlands Air Ambulance. ❤️
I honestly can’t thank every single one of you enough for your continued support, generosity and kindness. Whether you played, donated, bought raffle tickets, came along, volunteered or helped behind the scenes, every single one of you made this possible.

MILESTONES, GROWTH & PATHWAYS FOR ALL

As we approach a truly special date — 27th September — we stand on the threshold of a remarkable club milestone: one of our own is set to pull on the claret & blue shirt for an incredible 500th competitive game for Newtown Sports FC.

This outstanding achievement is far more than a number on a teamsheet. It is the ultimate reflection of the loyalty, dedication and family spirit that defines this club. It tells a story that began in our youth ranks, taking those first tentative steps in our grassroots sessions, growing and developing year on year, to become a cornerstone of our senior setup. It is the perfect, living example of the pathway we have worked so hard to build: a clear, inclusive journey that runs seamlessly from youth to adult, for male and female players alike.

Over the years, Newtown Sports FC has grown beyond measure. What started as a small group sharing a love for the game now offers a full, vibrant football pathway for everyone — from our youngest reception-age players right through to our senior men’s and Ladies teams. Boys and girls, men and women — every age group, every ability level — all find a home here. We don’t just provide pitches and kits; we provide opportunity, continuity and belonging, so every player can grow, progress and stay with us for as long as they love the game.

This upcoming 500-game milestone is proof of what we stand for: that when you nurture talent, value commitment and welcome everyone into our family, players don’t just come to play — they stay, they grow, and they become part of the very fabric of Newtown.

Join us on 27th September as we celebrate this incredible personal achievement, and in doing so, celebrate every player, volunteer and supporter who has helped us build a club where football really is for all.
