We are a family run buisness on our working farm,with an emphasis on local British produce and great taste, The Whole Hogg farm shop offers a friendly welcome including Dogs. Welcome to the Whole Hogg


Beautifully located in a converted cart shed on our traditional working farm, the Whole Hogg Farm Shop and Tearoom, enjoys a picturesque and tranquil setting close to the banks of the River Derwent in Ryedale, North Yorkshire on the A169 Pickering to Malton road. With real old-fashioned charm, our Farm Shop boasts a well stocked butchery and delicatessen and sells a wide selection of traditional farmhouse produce including organic vegetables, jams, chutneys, bread and home-baking. Our welcoming and fully licensed tearoom serves delicious homemade food and beverages for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea and is open daily from 9.00am, closing at 5.30pm 7 days a week. Outside you can relax in the scenic surroundings and children will love our animal paddock which includes friendly pygmy goats, Shetland ponies and ducks with new family members arriving shortly!

🏆 What an achievement for The Whole Hogg! 🏆

Last night we attended the first ever The Press Food & Drink Awards at the National Railway Museum in York.

We were absolutely delighted to have made it into the final three for Best Farm Shop/Deli, from around 60 entries in our category — something we’re incredibly proud of! 🧡

Unfortunately, it wasn’t our year to take home the award, but a huge congratulations to Cedarbarn Farm Shop on their well-deserved win. 👏

Most importantly, we want to say a massive THANK YOU to all of our wonderful customers. Your continued support means so much to us, and without you, we wouldn’t have made it to the final in the first place.

To be recognised alongside some fantastic businesses is a huge achievement for us, and we’re very proud of how far The Whole Hogg has come. ❤️

🎃 How long will your pumpkin last? 🎃

One of the questions we get asked a lot is whether it’s too early to pick your pumpkin… and the good news is no! 🧡

An uncarved pumpkin can last for several weeks when looked after properly, so you can come and choose your favourites now and keep them ready for Halloween. 🎃

A few tips to help them last:
🍂 Keep them somewhere cool and dry
☀️ Avoid warm rooms and direct sunlight
💧 Keep them away from damp surfaces
🎃 Try not to carve them until closer to Halloween — once carved, they won’t last nearly as long

So there’s no need to wait until the end of October to visit the patch. Come along, pick your favourites and enjoy them throughout pumpkin season! 🧡🍁

It’s our busiest time of year, so keeping the menu a little smaller helps us keep things running smoothly while welcoming everyone visiting the pumpkin patch. 🧡

We’re so excited to welcome you from 9am tomorrow for the start of pumpkin season! 🧡

Just a heads up to all our customers. We have a planned power outage WEDNESDAY 30th SEPTEMBER , taking place between 9am and 3pm so we will be closed.
Our phone lines will not be working, tills and card payments won’t be able to be taken.
