Handy Person Wanted – The Blue Bell Inn, Weaverthorpe

We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Handy Person to join our team at The Blue Bell Inn.

Hours:

* 1 day per week (with the opportunity for additional hours when required)
* Flexible day to suit the right candidate

Duties include:

* General maintenance and repairs
* Basic decorating and painting
* Gardening and outdoor upkeep
* Minor plumbing and DIY jobs
* Keeping the grounds and building looking their best
* Helping with odd jobs as required

We’re looking for someone who is practical, trustworthy, takes pride in their work, and can work independently.

The Blue Bell is looking to expand our team, and we're currently recruiting for both Front of House Team Members and Chefs.
As a family-run establishment, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional food, outstanding service and genuine hospitality in a welcoming environment. If you're passionate about the hospitality industry and enjoy working as part of a dedicated team, we'd love to hear from you.

Front of House Team Member
You'll be responsible for:
Welcoming and looking after our guests.
Taking food and drink orders.
Serving food, wines, cocktails and beverages to a high standard.
Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant and bar.
Assisting behind the bar when required.
Delivering professional, friendly and attentive customer service.
We're looking for someone who is:
Friendly, enthusiastic and reliable.
Experienced in hospitality (preferred).
A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Chef
You'll be responsible for:
Preparing and cooking fresh food to a consistently high standard.
Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety practices.
Supporting menu preparation and daily kitchen operations.
Working efficiently during busy service periods.
Assisting with stock control and minimising waste.
Working closely with the front of house team to deliver an excellent dining experience.
We're looking for someone who is:
Passionate about producing quality food.
Experienced in a professional kitchen.
Organised, reliable and able to work well under pressure.
Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

An absolutely fabulous write up from the lovely Hettie AKA The Yorkshire partridge, who visited us for our second Sunday lunch with her family.

We are loving getting to know everyone in area and are blown away with the positive feedback. Had an excellent week in both the bar area as well as the restaurant!

Food service is now closed until Thursday at 12, however the pub will be open from 5pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. 🥰
