Last week’s sunshine has certainly put us in the mood for a delicious afternoon tea in the pergola ☀️

Fresh air, good company, and a table laid with sweet and savoury treats — there are worse ways to spend an afternoon.

Whether it’s for one, two, or ten, Chef Hayden's afternoon tea at Burythorpe House is always a lovely way to gather and indulge.

Please note, we kindly ask for 48 hours’ notice on all afternoon tea bookings.

One of our favourite rooms in the house is our dining room.

Wrapped in solid oak walls and full of quiet character, it’s a space that feels warm, timeless and a little bit special the moment you step inside — not something you come across very often anymore.

For private dinners, celebrations, and gatherings that deserve something more than the ordinary, this is where memories are made around the table.

If you’re planning an event and want an elevated dining experience in a truly beautiful setting, Burythorpe would love to host you.

Tonight’s dinner service featured this beautiful locally sourced ribeye steak, served with our homemade Café de Paris butter 😋

Alongside a light poached smoked haddock, resting on wilted chard with Chef’s parmesan & truffle croquettes 😙👌
