Tomorrow, phase one of our Autumn Edit arrives at The Pantry. 🍂☕

The weather’s cooling down, and phase one of our brand-new autumn lineup drops tomorrow morning! We’re launching rich melted cheeses, sweet maple twists, and indulgent seasonal drinks:

🎃 Autumn Drinks Menu

Pumpkin Spice Latte – Rich espresso and warm autumn spices, finished with whipped cream.

Dubai Style Hot Chocolate – Creamy pistachio hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and crushed pistachios.

Goat’s Cheese & Fig Chutney Toast – Toasted Bluebird sourdough topped with warm goat’s cheese, sweet fig chutney, and a drizzle of honey.

🧀 New Signature Sourdough Melts

Golden toasted sourdough melts served with Pipers salted crisps and cocktail gherkins.

New additions joining our ever-popular Bramley Bacon & Brie, Goat’s Cheese & Walnut, and Signature Club:

The Ultimate Four Cheese Melt – Deep, rich, and ridiculously gooey. Optional truffle oil or hot honey 🔥.

The Maple Pastrami – Our seasonal take on the classic New York deli staple, layered with sweet maple notes.

The Applewood & Walnut - A vegan take on our goat’s cheese & walnut

The Maple & Mustard Ham – Tender gammon ham paired with a sweet maple and whole-grain mustard kick.

Festive Wreath Making Workshops at The Pantry

It may seem a little early, but we like to be organized! Join us as our popular wreath-making sessions return after nearly 4 years. Hosted on behalf of , come along for a creative, seasonal hands-on session and craft your own beautiful Christmas wreath to take home.

Date & Time Slots

Sunday 29th November
Morning: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Afternoon: 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Details

Price: £40 per person

Includes: All standard wreath-making materials, plus complimentary coffee and a freshly made seasonal bake.

What to bring: Please bring a pair of secateurs. Everything else essential is provided, but feel free to bring any personal ribbons, trinkets, or special foliage you would like to incorporate.

Payment: Upon booking, a payment link will be sent out via text or email to secure your spot. Alternatively, cash payments can be left at The Pantry if preferred.

Cancellation Policy: Bookings are non-refundable if cancelled within 48 hours of the session.

Justin and Georgina Staal run an award-winning, family-owned smokehouse in Long Riston, traditional cold and hot-smoking top-quality local produce over oak and applewood.

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Catering Assistant to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy café environment.

- Start Date: September 2026
- Typical Schedule: 1-3 days per week, with the opportunity to work additional hours to help cover staff holidays. Determined by weekly roster. Fridays are a must (We are closed Sundays and Mondays)
- Role would suit somebody needing to work around school hours (10/11am-3pm)
- Permanent position

Job Description

As part of The Pantry team, you will help create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Greeting and serving customers in a warm and professional manner
- Taking customer orders and processing payments
- Preparing and serving drinks and light food items
- Providing table service at our Malton cafe
- Clearing and resetting tables
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the café
- Supporting general housekeeping duties including washing up, cleaning work areas, and keeping front and back of house tidy
- Working collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations

What We’re Looking For

- A positive, friendly attitude and excellent customer service skills
- Reliability and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and bank holidays
- Willingness to work across both locations

Previous café or hospitality experience is helpful but not essential.

🚨 WANTED: THE SEASONED BANDITS 🚨

We knew our styling was good, but we didn’t realize our tableware was a hot commodity!

Over the last few weeks, a whopping four sets of our salt and pepper mills have mysteriously vanished from across The Pantry Malton and The Pantry Scampston.
To the culprits: we get it, freshly cracked black pepper is a game-changer. But we’re pretty sure “assault and battery” doesn’t mean “a-salt and peppery.” 🧂🕵️‍♂️

Look, we really don’t want to have to put the price of your morning flat white up just to cover our new “seasoning replacement fund”—so please, if you or your dining room table are currently harboring our missing grinders, just pop them back. No questions asked. We just want our tables reunited with their better halves. ☕️💸

In the meantime, if you see anyone walking down the street suspiciously shaking their hands in a twisting motion... you know who to call.

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Catering Assistant to join our team, working across both The Pantry at Scampston and The Pantry Malton.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy café environment and is happy to support two different service styles – counter service at Scampston and table service in Malton.

- Start Date: 16th July 2026
- Typical Schedule: 3-4 days per week, with the opportunity to work additional hours to help cover staff holidays. Determined by weekly roster.
- Permanent position (Hours at Scampston to end November 2026, but shifts will continue to be made available at Malton)
