Update on our Grade II Wall ⚒️📣

Unfortunately, despite complying with every request for information, revised drawings and calculations requested by Historic England, they have not yet granted us Scheduled Monument Consent to start the painstaking work of repairing and rebuilding the wall.

We had hoped to be able to start during the summer period whilst the weather is good and really hope that in the next few weeks permission to work on test panels will be given, in order to prove our methods.

In the meantime, we fully appreciate your cooperation and whilst behind the scenes work continues we are still open, and fully operational.

We promise it’s worth looking beyond the scaffolding, our gardens are a much prettier view. 🌿

✨ What a wonderful day we had yesterday at our Heritage Workshop and Community BBQ! ✨

A huge thank you to everyone who came along. It was fantastic to see so many familiar and new faces enjoying the day together.

From exploring local heritage to relaxing in the garden with a BBQ, drinks, and great company, it was lovely to see everyone spending time together, catching up, and making the most of the sunshine. Seeing the garden full of laughter, conversation, and smiling faces is exactly what our community is all about.

Thank you once again to everyone who attended and helped make the day such a success. Your continued support means the world to us ❤️

We’ve always wanted to stand out… this probably wasn’t what we had in mind! 😂

Our hotel is currently sporting its very own giant blue jacket while our long awaited stone wall restoration gets underway.

Don’t worry, we’re still open, fully operational, and all the usual warm welcomes are waiting inside.

A huge thank you to Ask Scaffolding for doing such a fantastic job with the scaffolding (we did ask if they could make it a little less photogenic… 😉).

Thanks to everyone for bearing with us while we give the old place the facelift it’s been waiting for. We promise it’ll be worth it!✨👏🏼
