For nearly 16 years, Izzy has been part of the heart of Grange Farm Park.

As many of you know, Izzy was our beautiful Border Collie, but she was never just our dog. She became part of so many families’ holidays and created thousands of happy memories over the years.

If you’ve stayed with us, there’s a good chance you’ve played football with her, found her patiently waiting outside your cottage hoping for a little treat (or nudging your arm for one), or seen her happily wandering around the park making herself everyone’s best friend. If there was a ball anywhere on site, Izzy would find it! In fact, our own brochure has always said that, given half the chance, she’d play ball all day long – and that couldn’t have been more true.

Even on Friday evening, she was doing exactly what she loved most. She’d spotted some children playing swingball and, in true Izzy fashion, got so involved that we ended up having to rescue the children because she simply wasn’t giving them a turn! ❤️

Sadly, yesterday we had to say goodbye to our gorgeous girl. At nearly 16 years old, time had finally caught up with her, and although it broke our hearts, we knew the kindest thing we could do was let her go peacefully, surrounded by the people who loved her most.

Yesterday afternoon we laid Izzy to rest on the bank overlooking the lake she knew so well. Over the coming weeks we’ll be placing a small plaque there, so everyone who knew her can stop for a moment and remember the little dog who brought so much happiness to Grange Farm Park.

We know so many of you were looking forward to seeing Izzy again this summer, and we’re so sorry that won’t be possible. She would have celebrated her 16th birthday this December. While she may have been our dog, we know she held a special place in the hearts of so many of you too.

Thank you to everyone who ever threw a ball for her, made a fuss of her, sneaked her a treat, or simply smiled as she wandered over to say hello. Because of you, she spent almost 16 years doing exactly what she loved - making people smile.

Sleep tight, Izzy.

Update on the farmhouse refurbishment! 🛠️

The farmhouse is now almost fully plastered, and the full rewire is just about complete. The team are now making a start on the en-suites, with the shower trays and shower panels starting to go in.

It’s exciting to see each room coming together, and we can’t wait to share more progress with you soon. 👀

A bit of a special one ❤️
This weekend we welcomed back Chloe & Josh, our very first wedding couple here at Grange Farm Park.
They recreated their wedding-day kiss in exactly the same spot inside the tipi, and it brought back so many lovely memories.
They were regular visitors before they got married and have continued to come back ever since, which means the world to us. It’s always so special when couples become part of the Grange Farm Park family.
