Dear Customers,

Due to the excessive heat, our extractor motor has overheated, and we are unfortunately unable to operate safely at this time. As a result, we are closed until further notice while we resolve the issue.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding. We’ll keep you updated and look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we can safely reopen.

Vacancy at Our Plaice Fish & Chip Shop - Washington Road, Maldon

Hours:
Tue, Wed, Thur - 4:00pm to 8:30pm
Fri, Sat - 4:00pm to 9:00pm

Responsibilities include:
- Food preparation
- Assisting the chef
- Cleaning
- Potato peeling and chipping (rest assured, we have machines)

Please note the applicant will have to be physically strong enough to carry 25kg potato sacks. Age 18+ due to the nature of the tasks.

While previous experience is a bonus, it is not mandatory as training will be given.

After 3 weeks of stress, phone calls and chasing for updates, we can finally say we will open tomorrow Tuesday 17th October, from 4pm till 8:30pm as usual! After tomorrow, we will resuming our normal times which are:

12pm - 8:30pm Tuesday - Thursday
12pm - 9pm Friday - Saturday
CLOSED - Sunday - Monday

Quick update: we are still waiting on a date for the engineers to arrive and get our range up and running. Hopefully it’ll be in the next few days, and we will update on here as soon as possible.

Again, we do apologise for the inconvenience, we’re also finding it very strange not being open at these hours! 🐟

The job is serving (wrapping up food) and taking care of our customers, we need someone for Fridays and Sat Eves from 5pm-9pm

Depending on the business more hours and days could be given, age and experience does not matter we can teach but if you have any experience that would be amazing..
