Introduction to Linocut Printmaking at the Salero Lounge, Maldon

This is a beginner-friendly workshop will introduce you to the beautiful art of linocut in a relaxed environment at Salero lounge. The session will be a friendly space with a chance to meet other people and share ideas.

In this 3 ½ hour session, you’ll learn how to design, carve and print your own lino block using simple hand-printing techniques — no experience needed.

I will be guiding you step by step in:
• Creating a bold, effective design
• Understanding positive and negative space
• Safe and confident carving techniques
• Inking and printing your own original artwork

You’ll leave with your own hand-carved lino block and a selection of prints, plus the confidence to continue printing at home.

All materials are provided and the workshop is limited to a small group to allow plenty of guidance.

This is the first in a series of printmaking workshops, with future sessions possibly including card printing, fabric printing and reduction techniques for those who’d like to develop their skills further.

If you would like to join please private message me, post below or text.

Booking is via bank transfer (£40) and paid in advance to secure your space. Only refundable if advised one-week in advance and I manage to fill your space. Thank you for understanding 😊
