Books & Boogie bring stories to life through movement, music, imagination and lots of fun! So we couldn’t be happier to tell you they’ll be joining us for a summer special on Thursday 13th August 💛

Every Books and Boogie class blends a love of stories with joyful movement, helping children build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of books. For little ones and their grown ups!

Thank you 💛

We are honestly so grateful for the incredible amount of feedback, ideas and support you’ve shared over the last few days. Reading your messages and comments has been emotional, and it’s reminded us just how special this little community is.

We’ll be taking some time to work through all of your suggestions. There are some fantastic ideas, and our biggest challenge is finding the right balance for everyone—from our tiniest visitors under 2, to older toddlers, siblings, and the bigger children who still love spending time in our space.

When we created the Cocoa Cubs space, the vision was always to offer something a little different—a hidden little play space behind a green gate that’s calm, cosy and intimate, away from the larger, busy soft play and role play venues.

We have lots of café customers enjoying coffee and brunch who have no idea there’s a beautiful little play space waiting at the back. Which means so many more people don’t know Cocoa Cubs is tucked away behind the green gate! So please do keep sharing our page with friends.

Thank you again, for your ideas and your kind words. Your support means more than you know, and we’re excited to see what the future of the Cocoa Cubs space could look like. 💛

A little bit of honesty from us... 💛 This is a really difficult post to write.

Over the past few months, we’ve seen the play area become quieter and quieter. If you’ve ever been to one of our weekday play sessions, you’ll probably know it’s often been a lovely calm space—but sadly, it’s been too quiet for us to keep it financially sustainable.

The reality is that unless something changes, we may have to close the Cocoa Cubs play section of Chai Cocoa.

We really don’t want to. We believe our community deserves spaces where families can meet, children can play, and local people can connect. Giving up on that isn’t something we want to do. So please tell us:

💭 How would you like to see this space used?
✨ Are you a practitioner looking for a welcoming space to run classes or workshops? ✨ Are you a local business that would love to collaborate? ✨ Idea for events, groups, clubs or something our community is missing? Shorter or longer sessions?
We’re genuinely open to conversations and new ideas.

We also know there have been challenges. We hear you about the parking (especially if you’re juggling a buggy!) and we know Queen Street hasn’t developed as quickly as everyone hoped. Being surrounded by an ongoing building site hasn’t made things easy, and we’re sure that’s played a huge part too.

So many of you love popping in just for our speciality coffee (thank you! ☕❤️). But if you’ve been thinking about bringing little ones along to play, we have unlimited play passes available, as well as discounted play sessions, making it even easier to visit regularly while helping support the space.

If you’ve ever enjoyed our space, wanted to visit, or have an idea that could help keep it alive, please get in touch, leave a comment, or share this post with someone who might be interested.

A slower rhythm for June 🤍

As someone who encourages others to slow down, rest and listen to what they need, I've realised it's important that I do the same too.

This month I'll be hosting just one gathering...a Monthly Reset Meditation on Wednesday 24th June held at Chai Cocoa in Maidenhead ✨

I'll also be taking some time to rest, recharge and enjoy some time away at the end of June, which means there won't be a Sister Circle this month.

For me, mindfulness isn't just something I teach during sessions. It's something I try to live by too.

Sometimes slowing down is the practice 🤍

A perfect space for the Cubs to play, while you have that much needed coffee (even an hour of admin on your laptop - we have WiFi!)

The pass gives unlimited* entry to our Hidden Softplay for one child (0-7year) and one adult.

£25.00: Pass for unlimited play sessions *
When: Pass can be used on sessions for one month from date purchased. One use allowed per session.

*Booking terms:  The Cocoa Cubs Club-Pass allows unlimited access to Chai Cocoa’s hidden softplay on any 0-7year tickets detailed below for one child and adult, excluding Classes, ‘Melody Music’, ‘Tea & Play’ and ‘Bring a friend for free’ tickets. Sibling tickets and additional adult tickets need to be booked separately.

Entry is subject to availability and sessions must be booked online in advance. You must only attend your child’s age appropriate session. Our Rules of Play still apply, which can be found at www.chaicocoa.com

You must book your first session at the time of buying the play pass to register the child’s name. The pass is only valid for this name and not transferable to anyone else. We don’t require the adult name as any guardian can attend with the named child. Please show the booking ref upon check in at the counter.

This pass is non-refundable and non-transferable. If you can no longer make a play session please cancel it, or give us a call so the space can be allocated to another child.
