Temporary Café Assistant

Location: Machynlleth

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Temporary Café Assistant to join our team from 1 September.

This is a temporary position running until the middle of November, with variable hours. Some weeks you may work 2–3 days, while during busier periods you could work up to 5 days per week. Working days will vary and will include occasional Saturdays. There may also be an opportunity for some ongoing hours after the temporary position ends.

Duties include:

• Providing excellent customer service
• Making coffees
• Helping with food preparation
• Cleaning and maintaining the café
• Operating the till and handling transactions
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the café

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is 18 years or older
• Is friendly, reliable and enjoys working with people
• Works well as part of a team
• Can work flexibly, including occasional Saturdays

Previous café or customer service experience is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided. Experience in cooking or working in a kitchen would be a real bonus, although it’s not a requirement.
