We are a pay as you feel, surplus food café.

This means you can decide on the amount you can afford to pay for your food. The generosity of those who can afford to pay a little more allows for those who cannot afford to pay very much. How do we do this? About ¾ of the ingredients we use are from surplus food, mainly donated, but some we pay a small amount for. The rest (approx. ¼) we pay for, this includes all our drinks. “How much should I pay?”

Below are some suggestions for you. We can’t guarantee we will have all the food on the menu as it depends on what surplus food is available. BUT we will always have at least one vegetarian and one non-vegetarian main meal as well as soup. If you can’t afford the suggested price pay what you can. If you think the food and service warrants a greater donation please feel at liberty to pay more, or pop a few coins in the glass jar. SUGGESTED MINIMUM

Loads of surplus food started arriving this morning ready for Feed the 500 tomorrow.
Along with preparing the savoury dishes, we cooked over 100 M&M cookies and made over 100 pots of jelly today. There will be lots of other cakes available too.
Come and see us tomorrow from 11:30.

Due to our chef and several volunteers being on holiday the cafe will only be open from 10am to 12 noon on Thursday 21-Saturday 23 May.
Unfortunately we won’t be serving hot meals.
