The five o’clock whistle is about to be blown, the sun is shining, happy hour is on until 8pm and we have Lytham’s favourite quiz that start’s at 8:30pm.

Join us for all the fun with host with the most Paul O’Brien.

We do ask each player to donate £1 to play the quiz which goes a long way to helping out good friends at Trinity Hospice carry on with the amazing work they do for the lovely people on the Fylde Coast.

This is Kirk. 👏

Kirk reacted the way 99% of people did to Bestie wearing his Argentina shirt – with good humour and a bit of banter.

Sadly, a small number of people chose to react very differently, posting hostile, rude and abusive comments towards Bestie on our social media.

The only positive to come from that is they’ve taught us a couple of new social media tricks. We now know how to automatically hide derogatory comments and report personal attacks.

Our social media pages are not a place to abuse or personally attack our team, and we won’t tolerate it.

Instead, be like the thousands of people who’ve visited our pub over the years while Bestie’s been here. Enjoy the craic, have a laugh, give a bit of banter back and forth—but don’t make it personal because you’ve had a beer or your team has lost.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s been more like Kirk and joined in the fun with the team.

To the small minority who think abuse is acceptable: it’s 2026, and there’s simply no place for it.
