🐾 A little heads up from Louis... 🐾

It's just too darn hot for my four-pawed buddies to be out walking today! 🥵🐶

Please do all you hoomans can to keep us cool. Walk us early in the morning or later this evening, make sure we've got plenty of fresh water and shade, and remember... if the pavement's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for our paws! ❤️

Meanwhile, here at Bijou, I need to help my hoomans out too. It's far too hot to be working over a blazing kitchen, so today we'll be serving cold meals only.

The best place for your dog in this heat honestly is at home.....☀️🌡🐶

This evening showed us both sides of humanity.

An Amazon driver left our gate open and our precious dog, Louis, escaped.

As he ran down Peel Road, a vile man on a motorbike shouted abuse at my mum and me while we were desperately trying to catch him. We were already terrified and distressed, and his behaviour made an awful situation even worse.

But then came the other side of humanity.

Two wonderful ladies in a VW stopped their car in the middle of the road to help. I was close to collapsing due to a serious heart condition, and they immediately stepped in to help my mum. Between them, they managed to catch Louis, get him safely into their car, and bring us all home.
We honestly cannot thank these ladies enough. In all the panic and drama, we didn't get their names, but we did tell them to come into Bijou for a treat as a small thank you.

If by any chance you see this post, please know how incredibly grateful we are. You turned what could have been a tragedy into a happy ending, and we will never forget your kindness. ❤️🐾

Louis is now safely home where he belongs.
