We’re getting into the wartime spirit at Bijou of Lytham this weekend with two very special additions to our menu! 🇬🇧✨

Crispy Spam, melted cheese, caramelised onion & English mustard, toasted to golden perfection.

🥪 THE CORNED BEEF & PICCALILLI
Generous slices of corned beef with tangy piccalilli, served in lovely fresh bread.

It’s TOO DARN HOT again, so today the fryer and grill are officially OUT OF OFFICE! 😂

They’ve put their feet up, grabbed a cold drink and frankly… we don’t blame them! 🍹😎

But don’t panic… the salads and sandwiches are still very much on duty! 🥗🥪🙌

And we’ve got plenty of ICE-COLD drinks waiting to cool you down. 🧊🥤

So come and hide from the heat with us at Bijou.

🐾 THE BOSS HAS FOUND A PROBLEM… 🐾

While we're all busy working away at Bijou, our lovely friends Frances & Tim take the boss himself, Louis, out for his Saturday walk. ❤️

Now, Louis takes them EVERYWHERE. He decides the route, he sets the pace and, quite frankly, they just follow orders. 😂

But every single week, he reaches this gate…

🚫🐶 NO DOGS ALLOWED 🐶🚫

And as you can see from his face, Louis is NOT impressed. 😂

He seems to think that being the resident dog, Head of Treats & Tails and general boss of Bijou should surely come with certain privileges.

Apparently… not at the Lytham Cricket & Sports Club. 🤣
Don't worry, Louis. We still think you're important. ❤️🐾
Although we may have to work on your understanding of "NO". 😂😂

🐾 WE'RE HIRING – WEEKEND KITCHEN ASSISTANT 👨‍🍳

Do you love food, enjoy being busy and want to be part of a friendly, hardworking team?
We're looking for a Weekend Kitchen Assistant (18+) to join us at Bijou of Lytham, starting in September.

The role will mainly involve helping with food preparation and kitchen orders during our busy weekend service. Experience in a kitchen is ideal, but it's certainly not essential – if you're enthusiastic, keen to learn and have a real passion for food, we'd love to hear from you!

As we're a small independent café, everyone mucks in, so you'll also be happy to: ☕ Make coffees 📝 Take customer orders 🍽️ Clear tables 🧼 Help with dishes 💚 Be a true team player and help wherever needed

The role is Saturdays & Sundays, and is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, friendly environment where no two days are the same.
