A stunning cottage, six sea view rooms and six standard rooms. Awarded Best Destination Pub in Devon in the Muddy Awards 2024✨ Many years ago a wise person built an inn near the harbour in Lynmouth (original buildings are 14th century) and this has been called the Rising Sun for many years. Now the inn and the adjoining cottages, which once were homes for fishermen, now comprise the Rising Sun Hotel. The Rising Sun hotel has a wealth of crooked staircases, narrow passageways, sloping floors and low beams and is thought to have once been a smugglers inn. The hotel now has modern facilities but still retains all of its old world charm.
