Commonwealth War Graves Exhibition at the New Forest Heritage Centre

Open now until Sunday 29th November

Many of the Forest’s churchyards contain the graves of men and women who died in the service of their country over the two World Wars. We have collaborated with local historians, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, and local communities to tell the stories of some of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice and help ensure they are never forgotten

Get in the festive spirit and learn how to design a beautiful Christmas image to carve from lino and print onto cards.
Gift your loved ones with something personal and special for Christmas.

All materials included. Workshop sizes are capped at 6 to provide enough support for everyone.
There will be a break at midday when you can buy lunch in the cafe at a discounted price.

We were delighted to partner with the New Forest District Council and Hampshire County Council to host the Traditional Industries in the Forest event yesterday.

We welcomed students in Years 7 to 9 from schools across the New Forest, giving them the opportunity to get hands-on and explore careers in sectors including the creative industries, tourism, horticulture, heritage and hospitality.

We hope the day inspired young people to discover the many pathways these industries can offer.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making the day such a success.

Commissioned in 1979 and created by Lady Belinda Montagu and 60 local embroiderers, this extraordinary artwork brings centuries of stories to life across four stunning seasonal panels.
