Does your four-legged friend love to cool off in the water? 🐕

Help keep your dog and our waterways healthy with these top tips:

🐾 Use designated dog dips only - these have been chosen for the safety of your pup and the health of the pond, lake, river or stream

🐾 Do not let your dog go swimming for several days after you have applied flea treatment - the pesticides used in flea treatments can kill freshwater invertebrates.

🐾 Do not let your dog climb in and out of streams and ponds repeatedly, especially where the banks are steep and soil erosion is likely.

🐾 Give your dog a good rinse or bath after swimming and before entering other watercourses, to help prevent the spread of diseases between watercourses.

Just look at how BIG the goslings are getting already 🥹

One minute they’re tiny fluffy pom-poms… the next they’re waddling around like they own the place 😄 We absolutely love watching them grow, and we know so many of our visitors do too.

Fun gosling facts:
🪿 Goslings can swim almost straight after hatching
🌱 They grow super fast in their first few weeks
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 And both goose parents help protect and look after them!

A huge thank you to everyone who helps keep them safe by giving them space and making sure dogs are on leads and under control ❤️

We’d love to see these little fluffballs grown and return to visit us for many years to come!

We’ve heard the tiniest pitter-patter… and it can only mean one thing!

The goslings are back at Mallards 🥹✨

Spring has officially arrived, the trees are turning green, the days are warming up, and the lake is now home to some very fluffy, very adorable little locals.

Fair warning though:
😍 Yes, they’re cute
📸 Yes, you’ll want photos
🚫 But don’t get too close, their parents are basically a security team and take their job very seriously 😅

So come along, enjoy the sunshine, grab a coffee and a slice of cake, and say hello (from a respectful distance) to our newest arrivals!

🚧 Quick heads-up for anyone planning to visit us!

The road from the Speech House / Parkend side is currently closed while repairs are carried out to the pole that was knocked down recently.

But don’t worry, we’re still open and easy to get to! 🙌

👉 You can access us from the Blakeney side with no problems.

So if you’re heading over for a walk, coffee, food or a browse in the shop, just take the Blakeney route and you’ll get here just fine.

Thanks for bearing with the temporary detour, we promise the coffee, cake and views are still worth the trip!
