Been to Mallards recently? We’d love to know what you think!

We’ve put a fair bit of love into Mallards over the last few months.

👉The Ice Cream Shack opened last summer
👉We’ve created a new terrace area for sunny coffees, lunches and the odd bit of people watching!

And we’re constantly working on making the café better

But ultimately, the best people to tell us how we’re doing are you lot

So, if you’ve visited recently, we’d really appreciate a review.

And we don’t just mean the *“everything was amazing”* ones (although obviously, we quite like those 😁).

If there’s something we could do better, tell us. Food, service, atmosphere, facilities – whatever it is. **Positive or “here’s something to improve”**, it all helps us make Mallards better.

Thanks to everyone who visits, eats, drinks, has an ice cream or simply sits on the terrace and enjoys the sunshine.

New to the menu

Belgium waffles.

And after swimming we serve doggy ice cream (and human ice cream too!) 🍦

Does your four-legged friend love to cool off in the water? 🐕

Help keep your dog and our waterways healthy with these top tips:

🐾 Use designated dog dips only - these have been chosen for the safety of your pup and the health of the pond, lake, river or stream

🐾 Do not let your dog go swimming for several days after you have applied flea treatment - the pesticides used in flea treatments can kill freshwater invertebrates.

🐾 Do not let your dog climb in and out of streams and ponds repeatedly, especially where the banks are steep and soil erosion is likely.

🐾 Give your dog a good rinse or bath after swimming and before entering other watercourses, to help prevent the spread of diseases between watercourses.

Just look at how BIG the goslings are getting already 🥹

One minute they’re tiny fluffy pom-poms… the next they’re waddling around like they own the place 😄 We absolutely love watching them grow, and we know so many of our visitors do too.

Fun gosling facts:
🪿 Goslings can swim almost straight after hatching
🌱 They grow super fast in their first few weeks
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 And both goose parents help protect and look after them!

A huge thank you to everyone who helps keep them safe by giving them space and making sure dogs are on leads and under control ❤️

We’d love to see these little fluffballs grown and return to visit us for many years to come!
