🏆 We were delighted to host our Junior GolfSixes team and their parents tonight to mark their fantastic achievement as this year’s Upper Bann League winners. The kids were presented with their medals before presenting the Sixes League trophy to Men’s Captain, Paul McConaghy & Junior Captain, Daniel McKinstry.

👧🏼 👦🏼 As the youngest of our teams, the boys and girls beat off stiff competition from Lisburn, Portadown & Tandragee to claim the league title and we are extremely proud of their achievements!

⛳️ The GolfSixes League is a fun, inclusive, team-based golf format for young beginners and non-handicap players and a great way to introduce our young members to competitive matches.

🏌🏼‍♀️🏌There is some promising talent amongst this group and we look forward to watching them grow and progress!

🫶🏻 A huge thank you to our Junior Convenor, Pat Carville and the rest of the Junior Committee for their ongoing commitment & dedication to our juniors.

📣 Senior Cowdy Champions 2026!

👏🏼 Huge congratulations to Neil Dillon and the Senior Cowdy Team who are 2026 Champions after their victory over Lambeg in today’s second leg.

🏌🏼‍♀️ The team had just 7.5 points to find to take the win after their strong home leg performance last week. The guys pulled out all the stops with some fantastic golf played!

🫶🏻 Thanks to everyone who came out to show their support to the team.

🏆 We are delighted to be bringing the silverware back to Lurgan!

💪🏼 The team go into the fixture with a strong 21-7 lead following last weekend’s home leg but there is still a big challenge ahead if they are to bring home the pennant!

⛳ Team News....

💪 Congratulations to both our teams who made a strong start in the home leg of their Finals this weekend:

➡ Neil Dillon's Senior Cowdy team had a solid 21-7 win over Lambeg at home on Saturday

➡ And on Sunday, the Rossmore Cup team, captained by Chris Mills, had a fantastic 3-1 win over Mannan Castle.

👏 Well done to both captains and their teams.

💚 Thanks to all those who came out to show their support! Let's keep this support going for their final matches away on Sunday 20th September (Lambeg) & Sunday 27th September (Mannan Castle).

It's Finals weekend! ⛳

Best of luck to both our teams who play the first leg of their Final this weekend at home.

➡ First up is the Senior Cowdy team, captained by Neil Dillon, who take on Lambeg on Saturday at 2.15pm.

➡ And on Sunday, Chris Mills and his Rossmore Cup team play Mannan Castle at 2.30pm.

A huge achievement for the teams reaching the finals - come and show your support to encourage them over the line! Wishing both teams a strong start in their home leg. 💪

🏆 Congratulations to Ryan McKinstry from Cairndhu Golf Club who won this year's Timmy Cummins Memorial Scratch Cup.

⛳ The blustery conditions proved challenging to begin but with the course in excellent condition there were some impressive scores returned over the 36 hole competition with Ryan defeating Lurgan member Robert Emerson on the better 2nd round score.

Thank you to all members and visitors who took part and well done to all the prize winners.

💚 A huge thanks to the Cummins family once again for their continued support.

⛳️ Lurgan Golf Club Classic 2026 🏆

What a fantastic day we had yesterday at the Lurgan Golf Club Classic! With 80 members and visitors taking part, there was a brilliant atmosphere both on and off the course!

🏆 A huge thank you to our headline sponsor, Tommy French, for their incredibly generous support of the event. We were delighted that Thomas dedicated the inaugural Dee O’Neill Trophy to the event in memory of his late father-in-law, Dee, a former Lurgan Golf Club Captain.

🎉 Congratulations to our winners, George and Colette Howie, who teamed up with their visitors Ken and Doreen Hood from Dunmurry Golf Club to claim the inaugural trophy! As well as having their names added to the prestigious Dee O’Neill silverware, they each took home a fabulous Taylormade golf bag.

🫶🏻A special thank you to Thomas French for joining us and presenting the prizes, alongside Club Captains Paul McConaghy and Frances McCorry.

🚗 There was plenty of excitement around the 17th hole, with the chance to win a fantastic £20,000 Kia car with a hole-in-one. Unfortunately, the elusive ace wasn’t found on the day, but a huge thank you to Howard Abraham Motors and Incorporate Benefits for their generous sponsorship of the hole-in-one prize.

🍔 After the golf everyone enjoyed a superb BBQ provided by Bunker 43.

🙌🏻A massive thank you to everyone who played, sponsored, supported and helped make the Lurgan Golf Club Classic such a success.
