✨Update to our gluten free bakes✨

Gluten free bakes are moving to the 2nd weekend of every month. Demand has been too low to continue baking them weekly (most weekends only 1 gluten free order) and this lets us keep them on the menu. They will be available to pre-order for the 2nd weekend of the month only.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

We're back, and you showed up!

Thank you for welcoming us back so warmly after our refit. Your patience, kindness and support mean the world to our little bakery. Thank you for your cards, your lovely comments and just showing us the love.

We know we couldn't offer everything you were hoping for just yet, but we were so keen to get the doors open again. There are still a few cosmetic touches to finish, air conditioning going in mid-October, and plenty more ideas on the way.

Thank you for coming along for the ride. We wouldn't be here without you!

Much love,
Chef Pete & Baker Shell x

3 hours into our Sunday morning shift, and it's shaping up to be a beautiful day 🌅 The breeze is refreshing, the birds are singing away. See you at 10:30 😁

We're running on toothpicks to keep our eyes open, but the sausage rolls and milk dough are already being prepped and waiting for the ovens later. See you at 10:30! 😁

Not long to go now — we reopen tomorrow, Saturday 26th! The shop's looking fab, though a few cosmetic touches still need finishing (definitely not happening before this weekend 🤪). Exhausted but excited 😝 Pete and I have worked our butts off to get ready, and we were up bright and early baking this morning.

We'd normally start prepping on Wednesday, but that just wasn't possible this week — so we'll do our absolute best to get everything on the Weekend Menu made. And we will be up at the usual time of 3:30am tomorrow to make bread, bake sausage rolls and pasties, and get everything finished and set up. What a day yesterday! For every step forward, we took two back — but we're getting there. Most of the cupboards are now fitted, worktops are next, then we'll move on to the decorative front of the counter. We might not have all the pretty finishing touches done in time, but we WILL be open this Saturday, the 26th! 🫠
