WOW!!! What a night!! It might not have been the result we all wanted and have been dreaming of but a massive THANK YOU to each and everyone one of you, we could not have asked for a better following of people or a better team of staff. You turned up, some straight from work, you saved seats, you brought your own seats, you legged if from work as you finished late, you asked if it was ok to bring your children, the children were fantastic, you ate all the BBQ on offer, you were very accepting of our security measures, you came with friends, made new friends, every staff member put a shift in and worked their socks off to ensure you all had the best experience possible, you cheered together and you cried together. We couldn’t be any more proud of you, our customers, our family and friends and our dream team of staff, for you loyalty and support - it means the absolute world to us!

I would like to clarify our stance on children for the match tonight as I’ve heard a few rumours around town that we have no restrictions. This is absolutely not true and I’ve already shared below the increase in security measures we’ve put in place. Under 18s will be allowed in tonight only if they are accompanied by their own parent/guardian and if you’re not known to us you will need ID to prove this. Those of you that have already spoken to either myself or Barney, know us personally or have brought your children previously will not need any ID. We are trying our hardest to maintain the fantastic atmosphere and following we’ve had so far whilst keeping everyone safe. I will also be on the door to help keep the disruption of any bag searches to a minimum. Please please don’t try and bring your own drinks in, we had a few from Saturday that weren’t bought on our premises - we’re a small, family run business with amazing staff who are all working their hardest to make every visit here the best it can be for you all.

What an incredible following we’ve had throughout the World Cup so far! We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal customers for your continued support - we’ve thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic atmosphere and hope that you have too.

To ensure the safety and comfort of you all on Wednesday, and in response to a number of incidents that have occurred elsewhere during previous matches, we will be implementing additional security measures. These measures will include…

⚽️ bag searches on entry (small ones only please)
⚽️ a single designated entry point
⚽️ closure of the carpark
⚽️ security personnel onsite throughout the evening

Doors will open at 4.30pm and the BBQ will be sizzling from 5pm until 7pm so come along early, grab your table and enjoy some pre match food! You’re more than welcome to bring your own chairs to enjoy the match comfortably but please note that all personal belongings will be subject to security checks upon arrival.

These precautions are being put in place to help us maintain the safe and welcoming environment that you’ve all become accustomed to, while ensuring that everyone can continue to enjoy the best possible match day experience. With the football being delayed by an hour please be aware that out kitchen will NOT be open tomorrow. The bar will be open for drinks at the usual times of 11.30-2.30 and 5-9.30

A lot of you will be aware that we’ve had a major leak from our water tank into men’s toilets over the last week. Our water tank is extremely old and the only way to fix it is to take the whole system out. With this in mind we’ve also decided to replace the boiler for a combi so that hopefully we’ll have much better control of the water temperature and the hot water will no longer be scorching! For this work to be carried out our kitchen will be closed for today but the bar will be open as normal. We don’t envisage any issues and we should be fully functioning tomorrow, thank you for your understanding.
