☀️🥵 WELL… IT’S OFFICIALLY HOT. VERY HOT. 🥵☀️

Whilst we’re loving the sunshine as much as everyone else, our kitchen has decided to audition for the surface of the sun.

Today it reached a rather toasty 44°C, and that was AFTER we’d switched the grills and fryers off! 🌡️🔥

The good news?

🍳 Breakfasts will still be served as normal in the morning (we know better than to mess with breakfast!)

To help keep our amazing team safe and comfortable, we’ll be making a few temporary changes for Wednesday and Thursday:

⏰ We’ll be closing at 2:00pm
🍽️ Food service will finish around 1:30pm
🔥 Grills and fryers will be switched off from approximately 12:00pm

Don’t panic though…

We’ll still be serving plenty of delicious options including:

🥔 Jacket Potatoes
🥪 Paninis
🧀 Toasties
🥗 Cold Lunches & Salads
☕ Coffee, Cake & Cold Drinks

We’ll be back to normal as soon as temperatures decide to behave themselves again.

Thank you for your understanding, your support, and for not asking our kitchen team to cook a full English breakfast whilst standing inside what currently feels like a giant air fryer. 😂

🎉🥂 BUBBLES & BINGO IS BACK – SATURDAY 13TH JUNE! 🥂🎉

Right… we need to talk.... July is nearly sold out.... August is nearly sold out.....
Yet somehow… June is sat there looking like the kid who didn’t get picked for the football team. 🤷‍♂️

We’re genuinely baffled. For those who haven’t experienced it yet, Bubbles & Bingo at Cafe-Ambience isn’t your nan’s bingo night (although your nan would absolutely love it).

It’s an evening of:
🍾 Bubbles
🎶 Music
😂 Laughing until your face hurts
🏆 Questionable dancing
🎁 Ridiculous prizes
💃 People promising they won’t dance… then dancing anyway

The last few events have sold out, people have laughed, people have won, people have lost, and at least one person has questioned their life choices after landing on the Wheel of Fortune.

So if you’ve been saying: “We really must book one of those…”

🤣🦄 SATURDAY HAS ARRIVED… AND SO HAS BERNIE THE UNICORN. 🦄🤣

For those who know Berni… yes… that Berni… one of our lovely regulars…

We can officially confirm that “Bernie the Unicorn” is, in fact, named after him. We’re not saying there’s a resemblance… but we’ve never seen them in the same room at the same time 👀😂

Big news though… the unicorns are a little smaller tonight… because they’ve had babies.

Which means tonight’s Bubbles & Bingo prizes are about to get dangerously cute, mildly chaotic, and possibly slightly concerning for anyone expecting a luxury hamper 🤣

Meanwhile… we’re OPEN ALL DAY TODAY ☀️🍳☕
Breakfasts, lunches, coffees, cake… and later… 35 people, prosecco, questionable dance moves and enough bingo energy to power the Cafe for a week.

It’s a very warm one today…

The sun’s out, the outside tables are calling, and somewhere in Loughborough somebody has just confidently ordered a “light lunch”… before immediately adding chips and cake 😭🍰

Today’s agenda:

☕ Iced coffees? Absolutely.
🍳 Breakfasts? Served until 3pm because Saturdays don’t believe in alarm clocks.
🥔 Jackets, paninis, lunches and all the usual Café-Ambience goodness? Of course.

🥶 Monday morning has arrived… and apparently somebody’s left the fridge door open outside again 😭

It’s a bit chilly out there today…
but inside Café-Ambience it’s warm, cosy, smells amazing, and the soup pots are already working overtime ☕🍲

Today’s survival kit includes:

🥔 Jacket Potatoes — hot, fluffy and absolutely loaded
🍲 Homemade soups — warming souls one spoon at a time
☕ Proper coffee — because Monday deserves emotional support

Honestly… this is peak “wrap your hands round a coffee cup and avoid responsibilities for 20 minutes” weather 😌

🌌 BANK HOLIDAY NOTICE… MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU 🌌

In a galaxy not so far away…
Café Ambience will be CLOSED on Bank Holiday Monday

Yes… we know…
“No coffee?!”, “No breakfast?!”, “No paninis?!”

It’s basically a full-blown crisis 🫠

But even the team need a day to rest, recharge… and possibly consume dangerous levels of snacks in the background like true professionals 🍫

We’ll be back Tuesday — fully caffeinated, slightly overfed, and ready to restore balance to the universe ☕⚖️
