Even with the sun shining, the icy conditions have settled in at the lower car park.

If you're planning to visit Beacon Hill today, plan ahead and allow plenty of time.

Much snow and ice still remains on the car park so we're encouraging visitors to take extra care.

Stay safe out there folks 🥶🧊☃️

10/01/25 Beacon Hill Country Park - our lower car park is currently open, but it goes without saying that beware of the snow and ice. Our unsurfaced car park is not gritted so please take care on untreated surfaces.

⚠️Beacon Hill Country Park - upper car park closed🚫 **10/01/25 upper remains closed**

Although our highlands are loving the fresh snow, icy conditions at the top of Beacon Hill has meant closing the upper car park.

Those visiting the park can continue to use the lower car park, but we're urging visitors to stay safe by:

⌚ Allowing extra time for journeys
🚗 Checking updates before you travel
🌦️ Remain alert to changing weather conditions
🥾 Wrapping up with sturdy footwear at the ready

Christmas Eve - 9am - 3pm
Christmas Day and Boxing Day - Closed
27 December - 30 December - Normal hours
New Year's Eve - 9am - 3pm
New Year's Day - 9am - 3pm

Normal hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm, Saturdays and Sundays, 9am - 4pm.

From Friday 2 January, normal hours will resume.

🎉BIG news for Beacon Hill Café 🎉

We’re pleased to announce that we’ve appointed a new tenant for the Beacon Hill Café meaning we’ve got a brand-new partner on board🙌.

During the last few weeks, we’ve been working really closely with the tenants who will be taking over the operations of our café.

As this next chapter begins here at Beacon Hill Café, we’ll be temporarily closing at the end of the week to allow our new tenants to get settled and ready to welcome all you lovely guests!

Our last day of operation before the changeover is Thursday 7 August.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the closure, but we promise, great things are coming your way ☕.

Beacon Hill Café will not be open on Saturday 19 July due to unforeseen circumstances. However, there will be a Camperccino Van on site to offer drinks.

We will be back open as usual on Sunday 20 July ready to fuel your weekend adventure.

Update: We're back on with power! 🎉 Thanks to our customers and those visiting Beacon Hill who remained patient with us while the issues were resolved! We hope to see you again soon.

⚡️Power outage at Beacon Hill 🛠

We're currently experiencing some power outage issues at the Beacon Hill Cafe so have temporarily closed the cafe.

Teams are working incredibly hard to fix the issues and we hope to be back up and running again soon - keep check this page and Leicestershire Country Parks for the latest updates.

🚗Car park machines - Beacon Hill Country Park🌳

We're sorry to report that the Upper Car Park at Beacon Hill Country Park is cash only due to fault with the car parking machine.

We're working hard to resolve this as quickly as is possible but if you require contactless payment, please use the Lower Car Park at Beacon Hill near the Beacon Hill Cafe or you can pay by phone or cash and Broombriggs Farm car park.

A reminder that essential maintenance works will be taking place at Beacon Hill's lower car park on Monday 24 February.

Please use the upper Beacon car park off Beacon Road if you're visiting.
