The Wheatsheaf Inn

The Wheatsheaf Inn The Wheatsheaf Inn is a friendly, traditional pub and restaurant at the heart of the Woodhouse Eaves Join us for a taste of good old-fashioned hospitality.

The Wheatsheaf Inn is a friendly, traditional pub and restaurant at the heart of the Woodhouse Eaves community. The inn dates back to the 18th century and used to be a meeting place for the local slate miners, when it was know as the ‘Slate Splitters Arms’. The character of the building and courtyard can still be felt today - the warm welcome and friendly atmosphere still hold true too. Its rural

location on the edge of the village makes it the perfect place for friends, families, dog walkers, riders and visitors from near and far to share a hearty meal or a cooling drink. We can sit groups of many sizes and our spacious interior has a wealth of cosy corners to escape into. There’s nothing quite like a crackling wood fire to welcome you on a wintry day and our extensive courtyard garden is the perfect place to relax throughout the summer.

🍺🍺🍺NEW GUEST BEER🍺🍺🍺

Timothy Taylor’s Blonde 3.8% abv

Timothy Taylor's Blonde is our refreshing blonde beer, built around the purity of the very spring on which the brewery stands. Brewed with Golden Promise barley malt, Strisselspalt hops from Alsace, and UK-grown Cascade and Chinook hops.

It’s a refreshing session ale with floral and citrus aromas, hints of orange zest on the tongue followed by aromatic hop flavours to finish.

New guest beer on today!!!!

Theakston Best Bitter - 3.8% abv

This fine, golden amber beer has a full flavour that lingers pleasantly on the palate. With good bittersweet balance, this beer has a subtle hop character described as sweet and fruity. It's a very refreshing and satisfying pint!

New guest beer on today!!!!

Jiddler’s Tipple - Swifty Session IPA 3.4% abv

Light & refreshing, yet flavourful, this session Pacific IPA has a zingy mix of New Zealand and American hops. Nelson Sauvin, Motueka & Sabro bring an inviting combination of lemon, lime, grape, gooseberry & tropical fruit. A restrained bitterness completes this uber gluggable delight. Lower in ABV, but high in satisfaction - cheers!
