Happy Sunday! Rumour has it that the sun is to pop into our sky at some point today! Woohoo!

The new Double Decker Cookie has been going really well. Have you tried one yet? If you’re keen on soft & gooey, that’s the one!

I’ve also added a few Raspberry & White Chocolate too, a wee bite of summer for that sun later!

This Blondie is a wee taste of summer. Since the real summer has gone again!

Lemony & light, squidgy & sticky, it’s the perfect bake for a bit of indulgence, or a quick bite before walking the dog.

Let’s hope the rain stays away!

Summer trading hours from this weekend, are:

FRIDAYS
SATURDAYS
SUNDAYS
10 - 3

So I’m open an hour earlier, and closed an hour earlier.

After last weekend’s trial of opening earlier, it worked well and with the warmer weather hopefully having kicked in now 🙏🙏🙏 opening earlier is cooler and saves the bakes!

I’ll stay open after 3 for as long as I can, if there’s folk to be served. I’d stay open later if I though my batteries would cope. I’ll see how things go.

‼️EARLY SHIFT TODAY‼️

This might come as a surprise, but in the really hot weather my cart is quiet.

The estuary is a very special place. But on a hot day, it’s too hot for dogs.

People would rather leave dogs at home, and head for the beach, with an ice cream. I would too!

So after many hot days trading, watching tumbleweeds gently blow past in the warm beeeze, I’ve decided to trial an early shift, and get on with some well needed gardening this afternoon!

Apologies if you were heading down for a cuppa this afternoon, but treat yersel to an ice cream instead! 🍦😃

Open tomorrow as usual, 11 - 4. As far as I can see, this heatwave is only today.

It’s rhubarb time!

Thank you , the Bairds, for dropping in a juicy bag of rhubarb for this week’s bake! 👌🙏🙌🍰

I’ve made a rhubarb and custard sponge. It’s light, melt-in-the-mouth fluffy and so moist and custardy.

Nice with a hot cuppa. 😃❤️
