AND THAT’S A WRAP… 💚

Another two amazing members of the Limas family are off to pastures new.

Izzie and Ollie are heading off to university, and some of you probably wouldn’t even have realised just how much these two have been doing behind the scenes.

They’ve been the ones making sure your food comes out cooked, plated and presented with love, care and affection. ❤️

Absolute warriors until the very end, they even endured the joy of a massive kitchen clean-down before we closed our doors for the week! 😂

We’re going to miss you both massively, but we’re so excited to see what the future holds for you.

All the very best at university, guys. Go smash it! 🎓💚

SO… WHY IS IT CALLED LIMAS?

I get asked this quite a lot…

“Why Limas?”

When we first came up with the idea for Limas, the concept was going to be a Spanish tapas restaurant.

And although the concept changed slightly before we actually opened, one thing stayed…

The name. 💚

There was something about Limas that just felt right. It rolled off the tongue, it was simple, and I liked it.

Over the years, Limas has evolved. We’re no longer a Tapas Restaurant and dropped the word tapas from our signage and name. Our food and style isn’t developed far away from that and we’ve become the award winning small-plates restaurant that we are today.

But one thing never changed the name Limas has stuck.

And honestly, I couldn’t imagine calling it anything else now.

Izzie has been working hard on a series of poster designs for Limas as part of our collaboration with Long Eaton School Year 12 students, giving them the opportunity to work on real projects with a local business.

From pot washer to supervisor, you’ve grown so much and have been an absolute star at Limas. Your hard work, loyalty and personality have made you such a huge part of our team and you’ll be sorely missed.

We’re incredibly proud of everything you’ve achieved and excited to see what comes next.

☀️ SUMMER CLOSURE NOTICE ☀️

Limas will be closed from Monday 1st September until Sunday 7th September for the last week of the summer holidays.

But don’t worry… you still have plenty of time for a slice of Limas before we take a well earned break.

We’ll reopen on Tuesday 8th September with a brand new menu, packed with exciting new dishes alongside the some Limas favourites you know and love.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we take some well needed rest.

We look forward to seeing you all in beforehand. 💚
