Verdi's is a family run Italian restaurant in Stepney Green, East London. In a former pub dating back to the Georgian period, soft shades of green create a calming ambience and photos of family and local landmarks are dotted over the walls of the long, narrow room leading to the partially open kitchen. The simplicity of the room and decor is reflected by the no-frills home-cooking, which is mostly

influenced by the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy; this is honest food with big flavours. We are renowned for our pasta dishes using fresh pasta handmade daily on the premises by experienced Italian chefs. Our specialties, rarely found elsewhere in London, is our Torta Fritta and Pumpkin Ravioli. It would not be a Emilia Romagna restaurant without our Italian wines, including the unique sparkling red Lambrusco.

We are currently looking for an experienced Pizza Chef to cover for our Current Pizza Man since he's injured with his back.
Great Rate of Pay for the Ideal Candidate.

If anyone can help either reccomending agency or people it would be very helpful.

Hi All, today at Verdi's we do not serve our usual Pizza deal and any pizza since we had an health problem with our Chef.
Hopefully he'll get better soon. Anyway we do instead offer an half price deal on all our Pasta dishes when you buy a drink.

The review:

'My wife and I had an incredible meal at Verdi’s last night. After a very warm greeting we were seated across from the station where their pizza chef provided something of a show with his intensity, keen eye on his pies and obvious pride in his creations. It was a Monday night where they offer pizza at half price so we ordered a 4 cheese, along with a fennel salad and their tortellini.

The fennel salad was delivered soon thereafter, nicely presented and while quite good, in no way prepared us for the flavor onslaught soon to come. That was delivered in spades by both the tortellini, perfectly prepared, with a most delectable buttery white sauce with a hint of lemon zest, and lightly sautéed mushrooms. Yum!

Then we dug into the pizza which ranked at it near the top of a lifetime list of best pizza I’ve ever eaten and without question, the best Quattro formagio ever! A light savory crust with very high quality cheeses, olive oil, all perfectly seasoned and salted. Hard to beat!

We finished our mini feast with a special sponge cake dessert topped with a berry compote that was simply an amazing blend of tart, sweetness combined with an excellent cup of decaf cappuccino.

We consider ourselves foodies and seldom offer this sort of glowing review but these guys earned it. I’d wager this is some of the best food you’ll find in London at anywhere near a reasonable price point. By reasonable, our entire meal totaled 42 quid. Outstanding!'
