Black lava cookies with Hawaiian lava salt 🖤🌋

I’m currently in the Azores, an archipelago of volcanic islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean! This made me think of these lava cookies we made for during back in May 🙌

Playing with charcoal powder in food is so much fun, black is an unusual colour to eat so it often surprised people. It can be used in many ways, including salt like the one we found here that comes from Hawaii’s volcanic land!▪️▪️▪️These biscuits also contain black sesame for tasty flavour and colour ✨

Colours of Barcelona 💛🦋🥑🍓🍍💟

I’m currently here for a few days, heading off to Madrid tonight for speaking with tomorrow! 🙌

This city is buzzing with food places, all so lively and colourful. So many tasty eateries with intriguing flavours to be tried!

You will probably recognise these colourful juices from La Boqueria, one of the most known street food markets. Of course the use of so much plastic needs to be seriously addressed and probably the source of some of the juice colours 🤪 but for now we just feast with our eyes!

Our collab from last year with ✨

Flavoured butters 💛

This is one of my favourite things to make. Firstly because I just LOVE butter, I could eat it with a spoon, the smells of melted butter is just 🤤and the texture of butter is so silky and dreamy ✨

These ones are made with grated radish and toasted seaweed flakes from 🤩 other flavours we’ve tried recently are wild garlic, grapefruit & tarragon, lemon & chives… but so many more to explore! The sound of fruity butters is interesting too 👀🫐🍓🍑

Food Design & Waste ❌♻️

I’m really excited to share that we will be presenting a fun session with Cinzia Fontana for the FOOD DESIGN FESTIVAL® in Madrid, on the 7th July this year! Our aim is to question our daily habits, and to see how food design can help innovate and solve some important issues, like food waste 🥕🥒🍓🥔🍋🍅🥬

🥑 The No Waste Republic (NWR) and the avocado experience 🥑

"The No Waste Republic is a place where communities are conscious about their environment and what they consume. Citizens grow their own produce in community gardens. They have become self-sufficient, create no waste at all, and are innovative in the way they utilise their produce. NWR citizens make use of every part of a fruit or vegetable, creating new materials and foods to eat. During this session we will show you the example of the avocado and see what we can learn from the No Waste Republic."

Last night we catered for a lovely hen party 👰‍♀️ This cocktail was perfect for the sunny weather we had! 💛 Shaking together grapefruit juice, mezcal, lime and agave syrup it’s delicious and super fresh!

Strawberry matcha cakes 🍓🍰💚 for ✨

These were created in line with a Japanese inspired theme for ‘s latest shop opening in Covent Garden. Matcha, strawberries and cream is simply a match made in heaven!

Every time I have a busy few weeks I end up not posting anything and then I get overwhelmed with what do I even need to post! It’s not easy as a solo business owner to take on allll the hats: event planner, chef, client manager, social media manager, financial dept etc etc 🤪

So here we go, I’ll be posting a few ‘latergrams’ as things calm down over here 🤗

Upcycled planter workshop for during 🌱♻️☀️

We used leftover tin cans from our food prepping over the last few weeks, napkins with designs inspired by tiles and some wonderfully aromatic edible herbs for this workshop 🙌
